Firstly, there certainly were at least 6000 empty seats left for the game we are talking about, as tickets had not even gone on sale for it.

Secondly, I said AT LEAST an exchange. If no seats were available, then a refund should be issued.

Although like Storer, I though they HAD to give a refund.

Beware anyone who ends up in the same boat as me from another abandoned game. I shall be writing a long letter to them and copying it to several "interested" parties.

I note, however, that for those of you who have already bought tickets for next week, that the website currently states:
"Please note that the refund policy for tickets for the Sussex Sharks v Yorkshire Phoenix Twenty20 match in the event of bad weather is yet to be confirmed. The policy will be posted online early next week."

So they could now just make it "Tough. You'll get nothing back."

What a bunch of ..........

I tried a NSC style SCCC message board rant about the ticketing policy, but it appeared that the majority of members swear by the club. Shambles!

whilst not wishing to defend the club too much here (a memebr since 1976 and frankly I think this year has been a disgrace - Mackay OUT indeed) but this has been standard practice when you get to the knockout stage of a cup competiton. Certainly for Benson & Hedges, Gillete Cyp and NatWest Trophy knockout stages it was always required to get a ticket regardless of being a member.

But their website does NOT mention this at all anywhere, especially in the membership section

Also the ticket site makes no allowance for membership doscounts although the membership entitlements clearly states

"1st XI Games
