Twas the night before palace and all through the house
not a creature was stirring not even a mouse
the scarves were hung by the front door with care
in the hopes that the busses would soon be there
the children were tucked up snug in their beds
while visions of ulloa danced thru their heads
with wifey in nightie and me in my shirt
had just settled down to dish the dirt
when then on nsc there arose such a clatter
so we both went on forums to see whats the matter
away to the ipad i flew like a flash
putting aside my needs for a slash
the battery icon indicated low
and the stupid internet was being all slow
when what to my wondering eyes should appear
a thread on a player the palace should fear
i knew then the palace would be so unlucky
as it was none other than the famous WILL BUCKLEY
More rapid than eagles his goals they came
his talents would surely win us the game
i rested my head safe in the thoughts
of that talented player wearing those shorts
my dreams were filled of flashes of flair
from the great spanish heros that would be there
on Bruno, on dave on vicente too
and dont forget Calde, he'll be the glue
There on the bench was the maestro himself
far too talented to be put on the shelf
eeeeees complicated he'd say with a wink and a smile
while the palace fans spouted their bile
To victory the Albion the brave boys in blue
And f*ck off palace, you dont have a clue!
