On the SSN report earlier they had a close up of the pitch and you could see some blades of grass coming through the soil!!

What are you f***ing blind or what?
TLO posted a picture with grass, on this f***ing thread.

I dunno, are we breeding a new type of blind fan at Brighton nowafuckingdays?

Multiquoted so we can see the whole glorious episode on the same page. :lolol:

Oh dear

Tell me you're joking. I'm not sure I can tell.

I really hope he's joking!!

And in any case just because I haven't posted 23k times on here doesn't mean I've not been supporting the Albion for 25 years.

If you are joking then, to me.

And another thing - I can't see us FILLING that place either.
There will be two fans - one there just to tell the other one "I can see you sneaking out/holding hands/does your boyfriend know you are here/sit down/quit f***ing whingeing/I'm a season ticket holder/el-Abd was to blame for that" Even then, they'll sit exactly where the rain is getting to seats and post about the club misguiding them about the weather conditions.

Correct me if I am wrong, I thought the pitch would also be injected synthetic grass fibres which will entwine with the natural turf and make for a much more stable field than the soggy and uneven turf.

Italic text is cut and pasted from Evergreens website.

There appears to be no sign of any synthatic grass fibres and I am pretty sure they do not grow from seeds

Do the synthatric grass fibres get woven in at a later date once the real grass has grown and strengthened?

No injected fibres. The Albion has selected the latest pitch technology with fibres in the growing medium. If I understood our CEO properly.

Sorry, but you are obviously not up with intelligrass technology. Microsoft have engineered a new plastic/kevlar compound grass with a regenerating capability. The pitch is treated with powdered silicone, which does get 'accepted' and bonded by nano-osmosis with the plasti-plasmic 'grass'. It's able to know when the natural grass is thinning, and take up the slack as it were.

The alternative was just some crappy mesh which helps the dirt from disintegrating with use, but that merely stays under the surface and won't help anything look greener.
