From someone who has actually seen him play regularly.....

Tuncay is a tremendous footballer who given the right circumstances will play out of his skin for you. He is the man who plays behind the striker but can also play down the channels, switching out to either wing. No he does not score hatloads of goals but his constant buzzing here there and everywhere pulls defences apart making room for other players. He would score more if he had more composure and less need to be flair.

Sounds a bit like Vicente doesnt it and here may be the problem. There isnt too much difference between Vicente and Tuncay except Vicente is more of a winger and perhaps has a better attitude than Tuncay.

At Boro he would have laid down and died for Southgate... hence his success.. at Bolton and Stoke he didnt fit and he became a problem. Wolfsburg also were not a passing team.

Our style fits Tuncay down to a tee but can we afford to play Tuncay and Vicente in the team.

It would be a big risk but would make us frighteneing going forward.

Not sure if we could afford him or if he would play in the Championship.

But his best years are not behind him and he is still a quality player but needs the belief of his manager.

Off to bed now and gonna see where this goes in the morn.

I love these last 2 frenetic days of each window.

SSN and others have a mass of snitches giving them info. Mobiles must be red hot.

from what i've seen of him more of a replacement for CMS than any kind of target man. Would be a fantastic signing if he was up for it.

Just been watching some YouTube videos of the man playing football as I don't watch the premier league as a rule and knew next to nothing about him. To say I'm impressed is an understatement. The bloke oozes class and as said is FLAIR!

I can't believe how far we've come in just a few short years. Some of us need to think about our judgement when writing players off. Every new signing is a risk. I am sure that if we somehow managed to sign him and Gus managed to get the best from him then we would be in for a treat.

Might not get promoted but Tuncay and Vicente in any side has to put bums on seats (possibly mostly on the edge of the seats!)

Yes please, but he is more of a 'second striker' than a target man, so I would like to see someone like bothroyd in as well.
