tuna steaks

Lightly coat with olive oil and freshly ground black pepper then sear on a griddle pan for one minute tops, then allow to rest for a couple of minutes.

Serve with gratin potatoes, lemon spinach and a sauce made from sesame oil, soy sauce and diced peppers.

(I found this recipe on the BBC website, sounds complex but is really pretty easy...and definitely satisfying)

Cooked in a tin foil parcel over a bbq with a little chopped onion, garlic, seasoning and olive oil. Cook until well done and no pink bits remian - tastes lovely that way, really meaty and not at all fishy x

The tin foil needs to be 'tented' to allow the steam to flow round. I agree with all you have said, other than the cook until well done, I wouldn't have said the goal of cooking tuna is so that it doesnt taste fishy! Flash frying is the best way though, tuna steaks suck if they're overcooked, and will be dryer than a mouthful of Carr's water biscuits.
