Whats a good London Underground station for hopping off for a few DRINKS then ? I'm mainly thinking the Victoria or Picadilly line, but I suppose I could DIVERT a little bit if its really worth it. I know a few decent pubs around Baker St, but its a bit out of my way.

I prostrate myself before the wizened, grizzled sages of NSC for some suggestions...

The Flying Scotsman - Kings Cross Station

You won't be disappointed. Unless you like pubs with windows or no vermin.

Dogstar - Brixton (get shanked)
Sun in Splendour - Notting Hill (posh twats)

DON'T go in The Euston Flyer on the Euston Road

Last time I was in London I specifically went in there for a pint of ESB and the barrel ran out as my pint was being poured. Cue 5 barmaids looking at each other and enquiring, 'Does anyone know how to change the barrel?' The silence was deafening and my mission was blown

PS The Flying Scotsman makes the bookies in Trainspotting look salubrious...

Hahah, Flying Scotsman, actually that would be up Easy10's street providing he has enough 50p's..

The Nag's Head by Angel tube is a winner in my eyes, great barmaid there too..

Euston Flyer is also very pricey, not recommended.

It used to be chalked on the wall ONE OF LONDON'S BEST PUBS outside the Scotsman, but they've rubbed it off now. It now just says WE ARE OPEN which is admittedly hard to tell seeing as there is no sign and no windows.

"The sex industry may be a £30 billion a year business, but this demoralising dive shows how the chink of coins fuels the bottom of the barrel realities. As one girl writhes on the tiny, raised stage, the next turn is circulating with the collecting pint pot. It's simple. The more that goes in, the more that comes off - and the more gynaecological the presentation. And that's the routine all day long. The range of drinks? God knows, or cares. But clearly methods are in place to transfer substantial quantities of alcohol into the bloodstream of transfixed punters - be they nervy looking little clerks, local pimps or lost souls from Hades. The floor, we are told, was one of the last in London to be sawdusted. Now a carpet of fag ends cope with any spilled fluids. The Gents', it is said, was the inspiration for the surreal nightmare of the worst toilet in the world from the book and film of "Trainspotting". We didn't check. If you're into watching someone's daughter, someone's sister bump and grind for handfuls of cash to feed either her child or her habit, then you must live with that. But be ashamed. Be very ashamed."

A fair review, I'd say. And Timbo, I've not been for years but when I went they were quite attractive, Russian and Polish mainly.

Looks much better there than the last time I went. The last couple of times I've arrived outside and though that the place had finally been condemned and shut down before trying the door just in case.

Are you that bloke on a Saturday lunchtime that stands so close to the front you've nearly got your head up the girl's Jack'n'Danny?

Yes, yes I am. And in future, keep your hands off my penis, okay?

Still mostly eastern european but nearly all are pretty ropey nowadays with butchered looking tit jobs. We did speak to one of the girls once though who genuinely said it was great there. The scary looking landlady takes no money off them so anything that goes in the pot they keep. On a busy Saturday night I guess they could probably get through ten or more dances for 20 quid a time.

The Griffin is where the classy £1 a dance girls are at.

Anyway whenever I go to London, we normally just move from pub to pub, if its shit we go after one, if its decent we stay for a few. Its not like theres a shortage of them! Far more interesting than knowing what a pubs like before you get there.
