Apparently they are putting on an act. But as has been said, satire really is dead, there's nothing there that we haven't heard daily recently.

The 'Do your own research' line cracked me up. Reminded me of a few on here...
Yes, that research line has been mentioned just a couple of times on a recent thread...... Lol.

If they are plants then that's a bloody good effort, to satirise something unsatisirible (Yes, that is a WORD, I said so, I know words clearly.... Quite frankly I'm a word Jenius... yes, yes... I WON!).

The judiciary has been set up to reverse abortion laws, among other

Young black American women must be terrified.

Well all young American women (without lots of money and connections) should be terrified.

But millions of them voted for this. And yes, if you're young poor and black, it's even more scary.

Plus ca change with a racist, misogynistic **** dictating one of the most important roles in US law.

I think there are more pressing problems than that. Democracy and freedom for starters. If Trump did a u-turn on the Paris climate agreement that wouldn’t make him any less dangerous. This goes further than individual policies.

Ummm last time I checked, we are scientifically on a ticking time bomb considering climate change, so I do think that is a very pressing issue. Of course democracy and freedom is important, but, apart from that mad mans attempts, that's technically not at any real stake right now.

Giuliani, in the process of calling it an illegal election, sweats out his hair dye.

He'll be disappointed with that. Still, at least he wasn't in the parking lot of a garden centre.

Another aspect of the bungle****'s antics is the setting up of a nasty hatred of Biden before he's even had a chance to fukk anything up. The demonising of him as a thief only winning by stealing the election is going to stick. The vindictive kunnt.

Well looks like all pretence has now been dispensed with and they are going all out for a good old fashioned Coup.

Quack legal brief Sidney Powell said they were going to try and get republican state electors to put forward the electoral college slates in favour of Trump in states he Lost to Biden and where every legal case has also been thrown out.

In Michigan, 2 republican clerks refused to certify the votes in Wayne county (home of Detroit and 80% black population), when the discrepancies in Wayne county in this election, (number of registered postal voter returns vs number recorded) was 2-3 difference in most counties and not more than 80 - and this allegedly is less than than discrepancies in the mid terms or the last presidential election (in which both of these same 2 did certify) and also less than a couple of republcian leaning counties of Michegan, one of said repuican clerks posted on their facebook, "its not over yet" (*in Michegan) couple of days before they refused to certify.......... after a huge backlash from Detroit voters and business leaders, they relented and certified the Wayne county vote, which then goes up to the state certification body.

lo and behold, the same evening, both of these 2 republican bad apples, had direct calls from Trump (allegedly enquiring only about if they were OK!) and the next day they have both signed sworn affadavits asking to rescind their certifications as they were receiving unproven threats (and nothing of course to do with a direct call from trump)....... that came too late as the individual county certification deadlines had passed and all counties were certified by the expiration time.

So what next, Today Trump has personally invited the whole of the Michigan republican state legislature to the white house, including thise who are meant to certify what the counties just have (and elect electors to the winner of the popular vote - Biden by 140K), but they can still in theory defy the will of the electorate and appoint electors who will hand the 16 electoral college votes to the loser Trump - and he is having them all over to the White House today - something one constitutional lawyer says is 100% illegal (trying to put political pressure on legislators directly involved in certification - to get them to hand the electoral college slate to the loser).

He also invited the republican legislators from Pensylvania, Virginia and Arizona to the White House _ almost certainly with the same aims.

White house bimbo puppet mouthpiece kayleigh mcenany says of the Michegan influence operation today - "the president always meets various law makers, so this should not be surprising"

This is a fight to the death of US democracy....... Trump is going all out for a coup.

My view entirely, he can't/won't accept defeat and is happy to try any illegality if it keeps him in power, worrying times.

Is that really what's going on?

I accept it could be, but as big a knob that Trump is, surely he wouldn't be going down this route, with the endorsement of the Republican party.

Watergate suddenly looks tiny in comparison.

Youve not been following pb21 this is exactly what is really happening. yes there are a good few Republicans speaking out against it, but these are mainly a few governors or state officials, and those not is prime positions within the Senate etc. The exceptions are Mitt Romney and Ben Sasse the others are either egging Trump on (lindsey Graham/ Ted Cruz) or looking the other way and saying nothing (Mitch McConnell).

[tweet]1329629701447573504[/tweet]

Most analysts have said there are twofold reasons for this:

one they are terrified of Trump and his control of the republican base (he can easily destroy them in front of the base and by his Tweets) and whilst (it is alleged) they all understand privately that Trump lost, they feel powerless to speak out for personal preservation/career ambition reasons.

The second is the Georgia run off of the final 2 senate places on Jan 5th, the republicans need to win one or both to retain senate control, and they again are scared of what Trump might do if they stand up to him.

This is all naked retention of power over any sense or moral duty or oaths to serve the constitution.

As the court cases have all been laughed out of court (as there was no widespread fraud)

Phase 2 is the naked coup attempt...... its alarming that Trump has sacked the defense chief Esper and put in a lackey yes man (as former defense chief said military should not be used to put down civilian uprisings/riots)

So if the naked coup attempts to persuade Republican state legislatures to hand the electoral college slates to Trump against the will of voters succeeds, and he manages a Coup, his yes man will now surely order the military against the wave of riots that would surely follow.

If the state legislator coup attempt fails....what would be the next stage after the courts and legislator electoral college slate switch fails?

Attack Iran and start a war? He has the yes man in place.

What is the old saying ? “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” .. they can stop him, they can say " you lost, deal with that "

No. That's all Trump bluster.

He has appointed his stooges to hide and destroy evidence. Biden's lot don't get to look for that evidence until transition starts.

So the big baby is buying time for his goons to ( ultimately fail to ) cover up his crimes.

This theory is set out here ( click for thread ) :

So what you guys are saying is that you have a theory that Trump & associates are going to conspire to make him remain in power somehow? Like... a conspiracy theory?

This really isn't something to overthink.

'Formerly very very wealthy old white(ish) guy, who nobody has ever said no too, just had over half a country say no to him'.

That's gonna take some getting used too.

If there is a conspiracy going on it's probably not to keep Trump in power.

I'll add a couple of positives to the current situation.

- Alienating/embarrassing moderate Republicans.
- More scrutiny on the enablers currently in office.
- The Supreme Court being on the wrong side of history.
- More armed militia in Trump's name, perpetuating the cycle, but also inadvertently the best advert for tighter gun control.
- Trump turning on Fox News in order to promote Trump TV

As in every other country there's a lunatic fringe - America's version might just have been promoted into a division too strong for them.
Decades of First World plodding along with slow and steady positive increments (for those who 'fit in') has led to the last 4 years of hatstandedness.

It's possible that thanks to Trump now, that's all coming to an end and we'll go running back to the banality of centrist politics.
The opportunity for real meaningful change becoming a distant memory by virtue of the fact we gave that power to a weapons grade f**king idiot.

And in our case a self service weapons grade buffoon.

And therein lies the real tragedy of 2016, a once in a generation chance for real change, spunked away on a far right populist

No, I think they are simply saying Trump is acting as a dick / dictator, as usual.
