People acting weirdly is hardly a surprise.

I googled him, how deep to I have to go to find someone saying that his evidence is credible?

http://www.crisisactorsguild.com/20...g-more-of-wolfgang-halbigs-absolute-nonsense/

First page of google seems to be full of people saying he is talking shit.

To be honest I looked at some of the 'evidence' presented when the story broke and say nothing that compelled me to dig any deeper.

It seems your mind has already been made up. that's fair enough everyone is entitled an opinion. maybe had you looked far deeper inside the rabbit hole itself instead of being swayed by the influence of a corrupt mainstream media you might have seen things through a completely different.perspective. that said his case is coming up very soon where there is a very likely chance you could me changing your mind . I await the outcome.in suspense...

I don't know why you bother to engage civilly with these *****.

It's truly mind boggling how some people can try and spin something so tragic to fit in with their idiotic conspiracy theories.

That's right shut people down with the old tragedy card, Try explaining that one to the bereaved families of 9/11 who have been wrongly denied inquest upon inquest in order to get some form of justification or explanation in relation to the tragic loss of a loved one of theirs.
People like you are truly ignorant, never ask any questions and believe everything the media has to say. if you had a brain you would be dangerous. . ...

I couldn't find any case coming up, i found mention of one that had been thrown out and one that he had settled out of court. I watched half an hour of his video on youtube and he talked about the police handling the case poorly (if it was a hoax you would think they would have been sure to do everything by the book?) and he talked about the state of the school in great detail. I kind of assumed that the video would open with some of the stronger evidence in order to grab people's attention.

I don't think my mind is made up (i had a funny feeling you were going to use this argument against me, 'sheeple' is surely just a few posts away). i am aware of some of my biases but obviously not all. I doubt that i have been swayed too much by the mainstream media as i have read very little about it there.

I am yet to see any compelling evidence that this was a hoax so until then I will go with the most likely and plausible explanation I have found.

Any chance you could post some links to this stuff because, as you so rightly point out, this is a ****ing rabbit hole. Not one i particularly want to go down (Lewis Carroll's was far more entertaining and probably contained more truth).

What about shutting people down with the old fact card, or the old truth card?

It takes less than a minute to type the word 'Snopes' and 'Sandy Hook' and get to a website that is dedicated to giving true facts about conspiracy theories and urban myths: http://www.snopes.com/politics/guns/newtown.asp.

Read the article that I linked to, written by someone who lost someone at 9/11. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news...ool-hoax-massacre-conspiracists-victim-father

Read the Skeptic's Dictionary on 9/11. http://skepdic.com/911conspiracy.html

Read about confirmation bias on the same website: http://skepdic.com/confirmbias.html

Please stop throwing accusations of ignorance at people who may just think that critical thinking applies just as much to internet theorists as it does to the mainstream media.

Although traditional media is obviously not perfect it does tend to have a better record for fact checking, challenge and balance than internet accusations. It has to because it is regulated and has been historically subject to the legal challenge which, as explained in the Guardian article is starting to seem the best form of defence for those whose lives are being made miserable by the endless spew of incredible what ifs, lies and garbage spread by people incapable of accepting that there are circumstances where someone else may be positioned to know more than they do.

Who is the one of the most powerful people in the world that has legitimised this?

Have I got this wrong? I read stuff that said that Trump had spoken about this being a hoax?

Perfectly prepared to be proven wrong here, This was one of the few pieces of information that i believed?

Trump has not endorsed the Sandy Hook conspiracy theory, nor has he spoken about Jones's claims that the massacre was a hoax.

Be careful, fake news is everywhere.

Fair enough, not sure where I got that one from to be honest. Somewhere down the rabbit hole.

EDIT: I found reference to this, stating that some are still waiting on him to denounce the hoax and admit that it happened. Don't know this publication so don't know about its validity.

Look the reason i have my doubts about the medias representation on things is they have been caught with their pants down far too many times for me to remember. Maybe i'm too sceptical and maybe i could be entirely wrong who knows. In a nutshell W.C and people like him have absolutely no.rights in trying to shut down the views of others who happen to have a different opinion to him. that is Fascism to the core.

What's your point?

You rejected the very notion of a motive that a Sandy Hook type event being used at the time when new gun control laws were being championed would gain an advantage, and the video clearly shows that Sandy Hook was key to a very emotive speech on new gun laws. It was an event that surpassed the general gun crime you describe as being enough for the anti gun campaign.

The US don't need to make up gun crime to help bring in gun laws, there's plenty of gun crime already.

Okay well i am out, i've had a look for myself to see if i can find anything that suggests that it was a hoax. I came up with nothing. No-one that is arguing the case for a hoax is prepared to share anything that they have found compelling.

I will file this with 911, flat earth, chemtrails, creationism, drop bears and physics.

Have you seen the Sandy Hook Firehouse being made to look busy?

https://youtu.be/yfPyxxQ96qI

Yep. I was waiting for the bit where they show one person (or better still more people) going round and round and round. Instead the moved the footage back a forth a bit and added arrows to make it look like people were going round and round. There are any number of reasons that there was a flow of people like that. Probably because the road was closed the other way so they had to go that way.

That is a whole lot of people who would have to be in on the hoax for that to make sense. I'll be honest here but i don't have the faith in the US government to coordinate so many people and keep them quiet. They couldn't even get the police organised enough to attend by the book according to Wolfgang von Whatsisface. How they hell would they coordinate everyone?

Again i don't buy in to all this fact checking nonsense, anyone can make up a set of facts in order to suit ones own agenda, the brexit campaign was a clear example of this. unless you have witnessed something first hand a fact is only what someone has been telling you Where is the fact that the likes of the BBC and others like them are a more credible than some of the alternative media outlets.
