So Steve Bannon has been indicted for fraud...

Yet another SHOCKER.

At this rate, it’ll be only the Trump family left not in prison. The levels of projection have been staggering.

Just wait until he is no longer president. There may well be a long list of charges awaiting Donny. It is another reason why he wouldn't accept a defeat easily.

He will get a doctor to prove he is medically unfit to face trial. His sons will say " How cruel to persecute someone who gave their very best to trying to run the country." " How can a nation be so ungrateful towards this sad old man who's only existence now is to sit and watch Stock Market Reports and eat Big Macs ? "

Possibly, but I suspect he will grant himself a complete pardon for any past or future crimes.

Anyway, he just lost in court again, as he tried to stop the prosecutor in Manhattan from getting his tax returns. This is about the hush money paid to porn stars, but also could be about various fraud charges he could face.

I always thought that the money mysteriously paid to Stormy Daniels and the other " Adult" performer would have been te key thing that would bring down his entire campaign. If the shoe were on the other foot and Barak Obama had been found to have " donated " thousands of Dollars in this way he would have been sunk. The question that needs to be asked is along these lines...

" Mr President, as a successful businessman with decades of experience, what business or service did you pay Stormy Daniels for given that to be a successful businessman, if give money away for no reason you don't remain a successful businessman for long ? "

That pre supposes that he is a successful businessman! That said, you are asking him the question and in his mind he probably thinks he is the most successful businessman on the planet!!! He'll probably claim the net worth of Trump Organization is greater than the combined amounts of Apple, Google and Amazon. However, he won't release the accounts to prove it.

Beat me to it . . . He would have been better off leaving his inheritance in the bank. He's the perfect advert for what not to do in business and in life.

I'm merely suggesting the questioner takes the line that Trump " Knows" he is a successful businessman so we are in effect asking " how many successful businessmen regularly pay porn stars for no apparent reason yet remain " Successful " ...?

Not been to the thread for a while, but with the election up and coming, what are the least bias websites / news streams that you could trust for the US? Looked at a few of the popular newsprint sites, then you have Fox/CNN etc. Don't want to comment necessarily, just want to get a realistic view about what is going on there without all the extremes of he said / you said? Any good suggestions?

If you really don’t already know what’s going on then Fox News will be a good start. When sick of that the fake news from the antifa terrorists in the NY Times, Washington Post and LA Times may be worth reading.

Cheers, I'm following but can't be sure whether what I am reading is fake / bias. Just looking for what would be a fairly reliable source. Will look at NY, WP and LA.

probably BBC, while they are as partisan as all the other media, they'll try to cover both sides without overt bias.

It's a very tricky job, and I don't really know how anyone can do it. Trump makes so many mistakes and tells so many lies, how do you report on him without sounding biased against him? Simply quoting his own words sounds like you are making fun of him.

"In the US, President Trump has queried whether injecting with disinfectant would be a good way to treat the COVID virus."

"In the US, President Trump has stressed how important it is to take over the airports, as shown by the American revolutionaries in the War of Independence."

"In the US, President Trump has celebrated the rich heritage of American ingenuity, as illustrated by the inventor of the wheel."

"In the US, President Trump has reminded everyone how the Spanish Flu pandemic of 1917 brought an end to the Second World War."

etc. etc.

Agree, trusting BBC so far. No reason to believe they would bias reporting. BBC seem to report both parties opinions in news reports.Just interested to find a US equivalent.....they all seem to be s**t or bust, depending on which side of the coin your views are.
