Mods, how about this, rename this thread US Politics 2020 thread just like the Brexit one, and then we can keep it all contained into one topic, instead of 3-4 different ones for each political candidate. Or does that ruin your hopes of an echo chamber?

I have been watching CNN through the day as well.
Trump gives them so much material and they have every right to call him out and show him up for the idiot that he is, but it's clear that they really don't like him, the fight between Trump and CNN is extremely entertaining but I hope they continue until the penny drops with the ignorant Yanks that he has to go, one way or the other.

I thought he excelled himself when I watched the clip of Trump saying that he has single handedly saved millions of lives, because if anyone else was in charge there would have been a war with North Korea and the world would have been destroyed.
Oh and by the way we would have won.

It is really hard to follow what you are saying here as you have provided no evidence , links or detail as to what your accusation consists of.

Could you please post links to

- the promises that Musk made

- The CNN article that claims he didn't deliver

- your evidence (from the hospitals) that he did deliver the things mentioned in the first link.

This discussion would have been cleared up pages ago had you provided the information that backs up your claim.

i find it ironic that you are so dismissive of CNN for not fact checking their stories when you are happy to post your stories with absolutely no evidence to back them up.

Anyway i have had a quick look at your evidence, and without the original article from CNN it is hard to descipher if Musk has exposed them as flat out liars as you first suggested

a) both some confusion with the definition of the ventilators in question, as described in this quote from your link

b) some sketchy information from what would appear to have been a solid sorce from the California governor Newsom's Office of Emergency Services. As described in this quote from your article

"Elon Musk and his team told the state that he had procured ventilators and wanted to distribute them directly to hospitals with shortages," a spokesperson for California governor Newsom's Office of Emergency Services told CNN in a statement on Wednesday.

"The Administration is communicating every day with hospitals across the state about their ventilator supply and to date we have not heard of any hospital system that has received a ventilator directly from Tesla or Musk." The assertion was quickly criticized by Musk on social media.

As previously mentioned it is hard to critically evaluate your statement without all the necessary evidence. to my mind you still need to produce evidence that shows the promises made and the CNN article that claims he didn't deliver. Without these things it is impossible to address the above points either way. I may of course have missed it in the article you posted (multi tasking is shitful at the best of times but needs must.

So can you produce evidence showing these two? (It is now clear that the hospitals did tweet their receipt of some ventilators.)
