A real midfielder that we need so badly.

Tonight highlighted 2 points for me.

What a good midfielder looks like

How Championship strikers should finish.

We are severely lacking in both departments.

Completely agree. How we could do with Trotter and Wood. 2 of the 3 types of player we desperately need before we can mount a realistic and sustained promotion challenge.

I rate him but thought by his standards he had a quiet game today. Put him in front of Bridcutt and along side Crofts or a creative midfielder and we'll have a midfield of STEEL.

him and wood in a heartbeat. wood looked the real deal tonight, almost zamora like, little flicks off his chest, great hold up play and two top drawer finishes. trotter big, strong, and quick with a eye for a ball.

Thought trotter looked very ordinary. Wood was great and fits their style of play perfectly

He's a good strong attacking midfielder -good in the first half but disappeared in the second when Albion got on top. However, he is just what we need.

I recall the interest on here about Trotter from last season so have kept an eye on reports about him. Interesting to read on their forums over recent months that Millwall fans have very mixed views of Trotter, seems he goes AWOL in games a lot, isn't viewed as top Championship material and a couple of references that he deserves time warming their bench. Surprising but it seems they don't share our enthusiasm. Maybe we could swop him for Harley?

Trotter is THE midfielder who would suit our system AND is a proper UNIT of a player. Wood wouldn't fit our style imho and whilst it would be GREAT to have a striker who can finish, I think there are more suitable ones out there

Trotter would fit right in to the way we play. Would give CMS the support he needs and offer the big physical hold it up role if required. He stopped Bridcutt from having too much influence as well in our build up play.
