Really enjoying the play of Trossard and AliMac around the box in last few games. Such a pity they have a Maupay between them and not a real quality striker or we'd really be putting some teams away!

Also Gross, excellent. So unlucky with his shot against the post. Great run and cut back for the goal.

Even more unlucky that Maupay didn't pass to him when he was in acres of space in the box.
One of two times when Maupay held on too long .

Maupay does a fantastic job working his ass off to provide them with space and passing options wherever whenever they get the ball.

Hopefully this goal gives him the confidence to hit more. He's had some tremendous chances in recent weeks and fluffed his lines with depressing regularity, hopefully things are changing for him now.

Yes.

I’ve been quite critical of him, because he really hasn’t produced anything like enough, but tonight he was outstanding.

Really hope he can kick on.

As things stand I’d agree with that ....but things change...month ago peeps were not keen on AliMac....he’s now revelling in the responsibility

Works hard but constantly wastes golden opportunities by taking far too many touches and rarely hits the target when he does actually shoot. Would rather see Connolly getting the starts at least he shows signs of developing into a clinical striker!

This. Maupay has been very good in the last 2 games. Some of his work is hugely under rated and goes unnoticed.

All three front men have worked their socks off in the last two games and been superb at creating space and opportunities for others. It’s working really well.
