[Albion] Trosdard's role today

He could be Flemish Belgian.

Knockaert used to do the same when we were in the Championship. It prevents the ball going under the wall like a daisy cutter.
I saw LuaLua score a goal at Elland Road, just like that. The wall jumped, but he struck the ball hard straight under.

I may be wrong but i think it was us that started it against Chelsea , a couple of days later Arsenal copied it and got the credit .

I think we saw both sides of Trossard and as others have pointed out, he's almost worth the inconsistencies sometimes because he can be soooo good when he is in top form. I really thought he would be our player of the season this year, a season under his belt and better physicality, but it hasnt worked out that way. I think his position 2nd half yesterday suits him better, 4 at the back deosnt suit him out wide... Trouble is we have a number of players who like to do that, and it needs careful management.. Ali Mac will also make those runs from deep, and Trossard playing there arguably keeps him out. I think if we have Welbeck/Maupay right now Trossard and Ali Mac will have to fight it out for one spot.. Its a nice problem to have I guess..

To be honest, I’m inclined to give Mac the deeper role that Groß often occupies alongside Biss rather than have him compete with Tross for a role higher up the pitch. I think Groß is due a game or two on the sidelines whilst Mac shows us what he can do.

Tross & Mac are more likely to win the match for us than Groß if we are looking at the Newcastle match in isolation. The other central midfielder we need to accommodate is Lallana who is almost first on the list right now.

Another key moment last night with that sublime goal to make the breakthrough, let's hope he's hitting a purple patch. Thought he was robbed of MOTM to be fair, although Welbeck was also v good.

What a friggin goal.

His confidence will be at 100% for the Manure game which ironically was what it was before we played them last in the EPL (after a great goal against Chelsea and a great game against Newcastle). Lady Luck then destroyed his confidence with three woodwork strikes.
My god I hope he unleashes unmerciful revenge on the Red Devil’s when he meets them this weekend.
