Sam's of Brighton at various open air events in the town. Smashing Sussex Lamb burgers.

No offence but I've tried both and Trolls spanks the arse off Sam's. Honestly, they have to be tasted to be believed.

absolutely nothing can match buying fresh beef mince and making your own.

However i am far too lazy for that and get my burgers from Uncle Sams

Uncle Sams rock, best retail burgers in Brighton.

Blue cheese is my favourite

Of course it's great to make your own but the guy who runs this makes them from scratch from 35 day aged beef in front of your very eyes, I've seen it done. There aren't many who have the time and ingredients to come up with these big buggers!

They are good but you simply cannot compare a chain burger like Sams to freshly made with prime ingredients. They are two different creatures, probably literally in US's case.

What are the prices of Trolls Pantry? Is it on the street that used to have Ocean Rooms next to the all night cafe?

Uncle f***ing Sam's is the thing I miss most about Brighton. More than the Albion!

Aye, Circus St. Can't remeber how much I paid for mine, quite pricey though

I tell you what, I had the homemade burger in the Battle of Trafalgar the other week, which came with cheese, tasty chutney, chips and side salad was really good and only £6.95. Nice.

I once had an attempt on my life in Circus St. I was living on Grand Parade at the time (urgh...) and heard a loud smash behind me. It was someone's wing mirror, laid on the floor in the broken glass was a large potato. Hoodlums were hurling fruit and veg off the roof of the adjacent building. There were bloody pineapples there too. I legged it up the fire escape with my brother who is bigger and harder than me but the little buggers had f***ed off.

It's a warzone round there, I once had a half sucked wine gum spat onto my head from a window while walking past the King and Queen. Take care!

Think this tells all you need to know

Burgers s Pantry

Must give this place a try - just reading the menu has made me want to drive over and camp outside their door until they open.

There is a farm who sell 35 day aged steak burgers at the Horsham Farmers Market each Saturday - either as raw meat to take home and cook yourself or cooked on the BBQ in the market - that are very nice. Also found the burgers in The North Laine pub very good recently.

I've been there

I was UPSET when Carlito Burrito closed there but Trolls Pantry have filled the gap nicely.

I had a great burger from there - not the biggest and quite expensive (I think I paid about £8 for a burger and drink) but the ingredients are all top notch and locally sourced. The geezer that runs it is a nice bloke too. Give them a go...
