What's he doing playing for Huddersfield this afternoon if it's close?

The fee could be agreed between the two clubs and this is his final appearance for them if he agrees personal terms.

A new Denis Law ?

He can hit them with both feet.

Looks good. One player on the left for Huddersfield was causing havoc in the Albion defence with his crosses from the left in the match up there. I wonder if this was Clayton? No beard back then though.

PS: I have a guess that this may have been Danny Ward (I hope we have got the right player?!)

Terriers fans says Clayton is not fully fit and this is the reason he is slow. Room for improvement?

In the Bristol Evening Post, Sam Baldock says he is quite happy at Bristol City and Steve Cotterill says he is not for sale at any price.

In fairness, he's hardly likely to say anything else to the local paper in case it didn't happen. Not saying we will sign him but there does seem to be quite good sources saying it will happen. From his point of view, it's a step up to a team who could go up to the Premier League in the next couple of years. Would be hard to turn down if offered.

The key with both Clayton and Baldock is they are out of contract at the end of the season. If they're not going to sign new deals, decent offers will be hard to turn down. Looks like Clayton and Ward are likely to happen now.

I read that article earlier. It was dated the 24th of July. A weeks a long time in football and all that jazz.
It doesn't matter when he said it, it was nonsense. Everyone has a price.

We all know that players have a price. also, I'm quite happy living in Littlehampton, but if someone offered me a place to live in Mayfair, i'd probably have to consider it.

Bit risky getting injured just to wave goodbye.

I reckon this supposed deal is way off from getting done if he's playing IMO

Ultimately, its up to Huddersfield if they want to play him, regardless of where they are in terms of negotiations. We can ask them not to play him to protect him, but it doesn't mean they have to agree. He may need a full game to get himself sharper, so perhaps its more through necessity. I'm just guessing though.

They're happy to risk £1.5 mill so he can have a friendly kick about?

Seems odd to me for a player who's supposedly close to signing for us

Most of the bedwetters on here would struggle to pronounce negotiation. I wouldn't trust them to sit the right way on a toilet seat.

Anyway, back to the point. I suspect that AN and Bozza both have good sauces independent of each other and the fact that they are both confident that these could happen and happen soon, makes me feel quite confident about it. See, it's all about the quality of your View attachment 56928

Didnt know hp made a pepper sauce. I'll have to try that.
