OGH and Kish are not "trialists" in any way shape or form. Perhaps Sitch could clarify as he clearly could not have meant those two.

If i said we will sign a player before end of month, and we do, it's not proof I know anything. Unless someone names someone or says detail like 'it's a wide midfielder who played in the Prem for a north east club, under 25 and has started few games' then it means f all that you can predict a signing the first monday after a thousand players are released

No he doesn't, he has a record of saying things are going to happen but not saying what. I'm not doubting he knows these names, he could be Tony Bloom for all I care, but starting this thread and BUT NOT NAMING THEM is so pointless its boring.

Fair Point but he did give us the clue for CMS on the day and I wanted to stick up for him seeing as he got soooo much abuse that day, I do agree in a way though starting thread no names very very frustrating

Which is why (s?)he has become only the third person on my ignore list.

A few joining up with the squad in the next training session, a few names you'll recognise !

If you insist on starting threads like this, please PM the details to me (which will not be divulged), otherwise these threads may find themselves consigned to Childish Ramblings / The Other Stuff

i have just got the Argus 2day and its hart and kish they are on stand by for surprise appearances in the club's opening first team friendly

I thought Kish was all set to retire last season?, only changed his mind because he thought he might get another year's contract wiith us. Bearing in mind that didnt happen l thought he would be back home in sunny Bulgaria with his family by now.

(couldn't resist)

Can't think he would do the hard work of pre-season unless he was hoping for another club (despite what he previously said) so I do wonder if he and Harty are perhaps on "light duties" and have been invited back to play in the SSC Final after being instrumental in getting the club there. Would certainly be a nice way of saying goodbye.

Very much this - not quite a testimonial but Kish and OGH to play in the SSC seems a given if they are still around the club.

Would anyone here be upset if a fully fit Kish was reinstated on a nominal pay as you play basis for next season? I for one would be pleased.

Fully fit he would still be an asset and could save us some serious money by providing the back-up to Bridcutt when he (inevitably) tires. Hopefully we will also have Navarro who I still think could be good enough to be a starter if needs be at this level.

Yes, Nav should not be forgotten - Gus certainly rated him. If they are content to be squad players then the depth of our squad becomes seriously exciting. How many professional footballers are we allowed/can we afford to have on our books?

Am just too excited to think about all this - I've only known the hard times since '85

It's eating all that kimchi that does that :D

we can have as big a squad as we can afford (only the prem are restricted and even that is somewhat theoretical).
Given that I reckon we are paying £1m a year just to run the development squad things seem to be pretty healthy.

I can't stand kimchi! The locals don't like my ambivalence towards their national dish, but I just can't stomach fermented cabbage****

I do love your take on our beloved club. All of you ITK people make my day with your insights. It's hard being a seagulloverseas
