So it is the RMT's fault that SASTA do not employ enough staff to run their timetable and even more stupidly pick a fight with the staff they do have resulting in nobody wishing to work any overtime to cover staff shortages or that the higher management have pissed off the middle managers so much that they now too refuse to do anything hence even more disruption.

No, they can't run enough trains for the number of people who would likely use them, which the police deem a safety issue. By closing Falmer people won't use the trains, which stops the safety issue.

Not quite. It stops the safety issue on the railway (which is what British Transport Police want), but it creates a potential public order and safety issue away from the railway. And I'm sure Sussex Police aren't best pleased about that.

The police should be putting pressure on SASTA to run a service that avoids safety issues everywhere.

Thanks for the clarity. I was going to put BTP in my post, but I wasn't 100% sure it was them that had taken issue and didn't want to accuse them of such.

Why would the police be any more successful than any other non-government body that tries to put any pressure on these complete and utter shysters. They appear to be a law unto themselves.

It's the club equivalent of, say, M&S providing escalators on the way up so you can buy stuff, then only providing stairs on the way down.

I think that is all totally irrelevant to what is actually happening as regards arrangements. Those questions can be asked elsewhere on another thread. This is just my opinion and it seems the opinion of others in relation to this thread.

There IS an equivalent THING tho eh ENREST? In fact somebody pulled it at Moulsecoomb in the post-Amex train i was in at the back end of last season because they found themselves in the wrong part of the train. They then walked up to the right part of the train and got off.
