Seems the clubs in the top two divisions are pretty much all moving very slowly this close season, how come?

Euro's?

Big transfers releasing money?

We are after a better quality of player?

I think a combination of all the above. However, from an Albion perspective, we'd only made four signings this time last year and that was when we needed so much more so it may not be as slow as it seems. We've may have only made two first team signings to date but we've strengthened the development squad too.

We may have to accept that we need to wait for the fourth striker as they need to be high quality and be better than we have already,

It's always slower after the Euros or World Cup. Some of the top targets are probably still on the beach and there's certainly a trickle down effect where the first series of large transfers lead to their recipiants spending and so on. That said it would be interesting to note our currency strategy post 24th June.

We know who we want. Now just sitting waiting it out to see if they will be made available (selling club waiting to replace them) or if anyone outbids us on transfer fee and contract terms. Just like buying & selling a house!

When do the Prem Teams name their 25 man squads? Probably little will happen until then as we are looking to improve and hopefully that is the calibre of player we are looking for.

Also another explanation is that we're after players whose current clubs are competing in either Champions League or Europe League qualification and who will only want to do business after they've been knocked out.
