And says we're slipping down the budget table by a long way. You what? We can't afford good players but can and are going to spend £38,000,000 on new seats and an acadermy but can't invest in good players.

Think the club should think of the playing side and keep us in the championship. Get us promoted and bank the money then build this academy. We'll be a yo yo club like West ham, ipswich, norwich.

We seem to keep coming out with these multi million pound projects but f*** all for the playing side.

Opinions please?
my opinion on yur remarks are perhaps best kept to myself..apart from wtf

No one has mentioned about the playing side, because we can see the bigger picture, why can't you?

To build a club you need solid foundations, that takes time and you start with the training facilities etc

What's the rush?

Opinion - he wants a player who we think is worth 1 million and makes an enquiry said club says yes you can have him for 3.5 million is that good business or is he too expensive? January is notorious for over inflated fees and Gus is playing it down and stating we will not be mugged - good. This is a journey not a six month boom or bust mission.
I reckon we will make money signings but only at the right price and for the right player.

Stop criticising and look at the good that has happened over the last year.

Not the real one
Saying we cannot afford a striker to compliment CMS is not going to make CMS feel better about his prospects. On the flip side, Gus is probably playing down our budget so that clubs don't inflate the prices as they think we can pay more.
