Gillingham take a huge gamble and sell a defender value 7. This player fetches £1 million which they inexplicably spend on a defender of probable rating 4. This rating proves to be 5 so the overall effect is that Gillingham lose 2 defence points for a gain of no money.
Blackburn spend a pricey £5 million on a 2 rated defender leaving them £9 million. His rating turns out to be correct so 2 added to defence.
West Ham spend a cut price £500000 on a 4 rated defender. This leaves them £2.9 million. His rating turns out to be 3 so not such a bargain after all.
West Brom spend a bargain £2 million on a 2 rated striker leaving them £8 million. His rating turns out to be 3 so 3 added to attack.
Everton spend £3 million on a 3 rated defender leaving them £31 million. His rating proves to be 4 so a very good buy.
