Transfer Summary???

Ok with the league to close and the transfer window soon to open (well ish anyway) this is my summary at this moment to what Poyet will be doing in this summer:

OUT:
Colin Hawkins (surely unanimous on that!?)
Dean Cox
Nicky Forster (hate to say it but it looks certain)
Liam Dickinson
Andrew Whing
Gavin Hoyte (end of loan)
Seb Carole (can get someone soo much better)
Danny Naisbitt (that keeper from Histon. What was the point in him!?)
Jim McNulty (with Painter looking in great form and close to a permanent, will he be getting games!?)
Diego Arismendi (Injury stopped him from settling I think and that caused the loan being a total waste of time)
Craig Davies
Gary Hart (a legend but maybe it's time?)

Anyway, on the subject in question I'd agree with most of that however I'm still undecided on Barnes. I'd really like to see a marquee signing of top quality to play up front and then one or two promising youngsters as back up. This might mean holding on to Davies or Dickinson however as recognised back up.

Also, if McNulty and Whing do go and we keep hold of Painter and Calderon we are going to need some understudies for the back. I don't see Hoyte coming back and nor do I want him to so we're going to need capable deputies. Obviously Poyet likes El Abd in the centre of defence and so we shouldn't rely on him as a utility player who can fill in where needed.

Do we have any promising young full backs in the youth team at the moment?

McNulty will stay as cover for Painter... if he signs... Otherwise a fully confident and fit Jimmy Mac is still one of the best LBs in League One and fits in with Poyet's attacking/passing style perfectly.
