Some of the deadline desperation signings going on are utterly ridiculous aren't they?

Nothing against Sheffield Wednesday but paying £10m for Rhodes when they've already got EIGHT strikers in their squad? It's like their entire philosophy for the last few months has been "We're only just in the play-offs, quick let's buy another striker".

Thank god for a boring but efficient transfer window for us. Job done.

It is bizarre. How do you keep Fletcher, Hooper, Rhodes, Forestieri and Winnall happy. Surely you can only play two from the start and two on the bench surely.

Forestieri will now doubt now start throwing a strop again and upset whatever team spirit they have.

If he scores sufficient goals for them to win the play offs it will be a good investment if not he is ready for next year or can be sold to somebody wanting the same at virtually what he cost Wednesday so to me it is good business.

Isn't Fletcher on 30k a week there? Must have a big wage bill as Rhodes must be on some serious money as well.

But where's the strategy. They signed Fletcher in the summer on big money and Forestieri threw a strop because someone else was getting paid more than him. So they had to give him a new contract on the same money. Now Rhodes will be on at least as much while arguably their best scorer (Hooper) probably can't get a game. From the outside it looks like a mess.

They will be on for a transfer embargo if they don't go up! Can't imagine the wages they are paying that lot!

They've stopped any of their immediate rivals from grabbing Rhodes, haven't they? Might even turn out to be worth £10M to do that.

I'd not noticed they'd bought Rhodes.

It does seem to be a striker-off between Derby, Villa and Massive.

They have all been bang at it today. Didn't think a striker was Wednesdays problem especially in the 2 games we played against them. Light at CB and there wingers seemed poor and there was not a great deal of creativity. I personally think they would be higher in the table is they had attempted to get someone like Duffy at CB rather than keep blowing massive amounts of money on wages and transfer fees on strikers.
