[Technology] Transfer from old cine film to DVD

I have a load of old cine films taken by my father 30 or 40 years ago which I'd like to get transferred to DVD. Mostly when my kids were young (probably includes film of Commander having a bath in the sink )

Anyone know of anywhere that does this? Lots of online options but I'd prefer someone locally who I can speak to face to face. Preferably local to St Leonard's and Hastings although anywhere along the coast would be fine. Or even an NSC'r who wants to earn a few quid?

You could try speaking to Park Cameras. If they don’t do it themselves, I’m sure they’d have a good recommendation.

Let us know how you get on. I need to get my dad’s cine film transferred at some point. Can’t put it off for ever!

Try Wasp printers in Peacehaven. They do it - and I've heard they are good and reasonable. Thinking of using them myself

If you do find anywhere local, please let me know, as my FIL has hundreds of Kodak slides that need putting onto DVD

Aren't they just an intermediary and send it off to their chosen business that specialises in this kind of stuff ??

I hope I'm not stating the obvious but what condition is the cine film in. I tried to get some film I took in Aden back in the 60's but alas the celluloid had deteriorated beyond use.

It looks pretty good but obviously I haven't unwound the film from the reels
