Ignoring the Premier League and just looking at the Championship down, there are some hidden gems in there.

I think Wigan has had a particularly good day, good money for McArthur and then bringing in Forshaw, Delort & Huws ... all good players in my view. (Don't know much about Kvist).
Middlesbrough will be quite happy, and Peterborough getting Luke James could turn out to be another shrewdy from Ferguson.

The rules are the same for everyone.

Firstly, the rules state that clubs can submit a Deal Sheet: Clubs sometimes conclude deals at the last minute and it is not always easy for them to get everything completed and sent over by 11pm. The deal sheet allows a club to confirm that a deal has been reached in order to allow for additional time to submit the remaining documentation. The sheet cannot be used prior to 9pm and needs to arrive fully completed before the transfer window closes. Once the sheet arrives, clubs have got until 1am in which to submit the full paperwork.


Secondly, we never know how much time has elapsed between the deal being officially done and it being announced.

Thirdly, in my view, it's all so ridiculously contrived and artificial anyway. Why should it matter if a deal is done before or after 2300? And if we signed a star player at 0100 instead of 2300, would we complain?
