In theory yes, but who does Huddersfield replace him with?

Only realistic chances imho are last seasons relegated strikers who they want off payroll. Welbeck, Deeney, King etc.

Doubt Hudds would be willing to sell or loan, unless player agitates for it.
Well West Brom are trying to get him so not totally off the list.

Loan striker to them? Cashman, Tolaj, Ella - are any of them ready for a Championship loan yet?

Not a swap of course - we'd pay a transfer fee for Grant, but the loan might ease their problem of replacing him.

Need you up in the recruitment dept.

According to Yorkshire Live, (yeah I know) WBA might be going for Deeney first. Quote: "If they (WBA) feel they are not in a position to sign Grant, they are expected to turn their attentions to one of Watford pair Troy Deeney and Andre Gray."

How uninspiring. At least it's not Wellbeck.

He's finished. Surely nobody will take him in the Prem.

He’s been fit a while, just not selected and still just 28.

Moyes wants physical players not ball players.

If a creative deal that protects against injury’s could be done, he could be great in a Potter side.

Wilshere and Lallana....we’d purr in the middle.

It depends on what money he wants/expects. Say he was on £100K a week at Wet Sham - and he's just got his contract paid up (probably not in full, but doubtless a tidy wedge!) so he's minted. But without income - he's now on £0 per week. Probably not a problem for him - unless he's got a massive gambling or coke habit he should be financially secure for life.
He clearly has a few years as a footballer left - but probably not at a club that pays £100K a week. So, does he take the attitude that as a former £100K a week footballer he is entitled to £100K a week wherever he plays - pricing himself out of the market - or does he say, I want to play football first and foremost?

Fulham trying to find themselves some average central defender somewhere must be the most boring deadline day thriller in my lifetime.

So, after today we can only sign from the Leagues below us which means slim pickings in identifying players that will improve the squad for the right price.

Considering how expensive it is to buy from there I can see us waiting till Jan.
However look at the Palace, WBA, Burnley hashtags for example and they are all whining about this window, so it's not just us!

From The Athletic:
Chelsea's Ruben Loftus-Cheek is having a medical at Fulham ahead of a season-long loan. The 24-year-old is understood to be likely heading to Craven Cottage for the 2020-21 season ahead of Monday night's deadline. Fulham are also hopeful of sealing a deal for Manchester City's Tosin Adarabioyo.

Think we’ll get a striker from the Championship... just a hunch. (Not tonight)
