Players want to meet the manager. We tried to bring in a striker from Spurs in the summer, and they didn't get the chance to see our facilities or meet Chris, and understandably they said no.
there's plenty of time through the window to arrange a meet up.
Yes there is, but the way these things work players often become available at the last minute once the selling team has a replacement.

I know a lot of people don't like him but Sam Allardice spoke out strongly about this yesterday on Sky.

Probably compromises his chance of negotiating a dodgy back hander if he has to undertake team management duties the same day. We all know he likes a bung.
