Been looking at train options and see that we have the wonderful combination of bus replacement along the south coat from Brighton to Littlehampton, plus Industrial Action by South Western, so a reduced service.

The trains/bus replacement from Worthing area are either taking you along the coast with changes (quicker) or to Brighton for train to Clapham Junction and then Bournemouth (longer). It seems that the cost of going to Bournememouth via Clapham Junction is double the cost of going along the coast, but as a result of the disruption if you want to go from Brighton to Bournemeouth via London it is half the price if you book your ticket from Worthing area and it still takes you the same route , albeit you wouldn't bother with getting the replacement bus to Brighton.

Not sure if I'm making sense but worth checking if people are planning on getting the train to the game
