Yeah my wording was pretty vague. I suspect you were ok if you were a bona fide coach traveller. I know @Hotchilidog also did this and preferred it.
he did indeed 🙂 though this year I’m suffering the train with the DDO lot.

Really could do with beating those scummy ****s tomorrow, if Twitter is anything to go by it’s literally the only thing for them to look forward to, their cup final

Remember, Police in the red caps are Commanders of units.

Also no doubt some fans will behave like f***ing morons tomorrow night

There will inevitably be some altercation on the way back to the station between one of our skinny, drunken scrotes and the wing mirror of some poor sod’s car.

Yep, that's a given unfortunately

Bus replacement after 22:30 Thursday, anyone else seen this. Don’t normally get train from Palace what normally happens?
What generally happens when you live in London is you get into a protracted negotiation with a MET police officer who utterly refuses to believe you live a few miles up the road and insists you make your way to London Bridge.

I'm assuming there will be no away-friendly pubs open as usual en route to the "stadium"?

If coming from Clapham Junction, break your journey at Balham, everybody welcome.

The Regent and The Cyclist just outside the station. Then hop back on the train to hell.

I'm targeting getting the 22.26 back from Norwood to avoid a replacement bus service (to Worthing).

Is this realistic or should we expect to be kept behind for long after the game?

These are the four trains with additional stops at Norwood. The 22.26 is one of those so I expect the police will escort us to Norwood Junction to try and get the 2216 and spread the crowds out amongst those 4. If you want to get that one maybe stick to the front of the Kettle if there is one, the capacity of a class 700 is about 1800 so I can’t see it being too much of a rush.

This. I recall one such incident when I asked one of the idiots " do you have any idea how much a new colour matched mirror unit is going to cost ?" The charming response was " what, are you fecking Palace then?" . What with the police kettling one of the other reasons I now give this fixture a swerve for much nicer London away days

Bloody VAR is even ruining the trains these days.

Gonna take the ball ache out of the evening and drive to Three Bridges.
That way I don't have to even think about getting home.

Yep far too much hassle. No way would l take my car to that part of the world, especially when we are playing Palarse.

Some rather bemused tourists have just got on our train at Gatwick.

Just far enough away from LDC
Took my 12 year old, the half-time penalty taker last night, on the coach. I'll be using that service again for Palace. Dropped and picked up right outside the ground, two hours before KO. Completely hassle free
That was your boy? I'm so so proud of him

Also great restraint for not kicking the gobby palace boy 12ft in the air. Your son did his stuff in good humour 👌
