Railway workers = clowns
All the time i'm getting well paid and have no fear of redundancy i'll settle for being a clown.

I think all us tax payers have spent enough already buying banks as opposed to buying up train companies.
No I can confirm that they are not shit everyday, normally you see one thing really shit a week. The rest of the time trains are anything from on time - 5 mins late.....thats the norm. It's amazing how a train can be running 2 mins late for it's first journey in the morning. Railway workers = clowns
The rail service in this country is shite - not as bad as it used to be but its still garbage! Look no further than the chaos this week but the weather is out of their control I guess! However, as someone who used to commute regularly, the biggest clowns are not the railway staff - its the minority of commuters who think they own the railway! Idiots who sit in the same seat and get upset if someone dares sit in "their" seat - the same idiots who moan at railway staff when there is a fatality for example and expect the train service to just start running again instantly. Ask all police officers and they will tell you, the track cant be handed back to the train company until after the POLICE have declared it a non crime scene. Ive never had problems with rail staff (the customer facing ones anyway) - no doubt the top managers would give you a load of old bull! The worst train to get for these pricks is the one to London Bridge from Eastbourne in the morning around about 7:15 - a bunch of whinging whining to55ers and Im so glad I dont have to share a train with them on a regular basis anymore!
Sounds exactly how the 7.11 from Hove to Victoria used to be - I fought with it for 18 months then admitted defeat and gave up.

I have to take my daughter into London tomorrow (Thurs) - Traveling Telford Central to Euston via Wolverhampton and B'ham New Street. I've not been on a train for several years, the weather forecast is, err, dodgy and an off peak return is gonna set me back abut £75 each (she is 16).
Am I in for a treat or should I make some excuses and look to do this another day (its a University viewing day).
As always, NSC views and opinions are invited ....
