The Parish Council have approved the plans - Good !

The project is, in my understanding , subject to the approval of District Council, ie (is it) Worthing and Adur ?

Can someone please confirm what the situation is ?

Those comments on the Argus website make my blood boil, no wonder I try not to go on there.
Some people have no idea what an academy means for the club and the people of Sussex.

That is my understanding. I think Lancing signed off the original plans too. Wasn’t this live and covered by NSC as the decisions came in?

As the process effectively was reset this is the first hurdle again. The revised consultation period goes on to the end of July. The official website said when the plans were resubmitted: “The Seagulls submitted the new plans to Adur District Council, and a planning decision is expected at some point in the late summer or early autumn.”

Plantwoman ranks up there with moon23 antifalmer and the fellow pricks.

Not forgetting 'Septicman'...

There is no point in arguing with pig ignorant people who have made up their ill-informed minds, especially on the argus website. Waste of time and energy.

I think you may be confusing that with BHCC and the stadium expansion application.

There's just one more hurdle to overcome before it can go to the planning commitee and that's the Highway Agency concerning additional traffic on the A27 / Manor roundabout. They placed a holding objection on the plans so that certain issues could be clarified / resolved. The holding objection expired on the 13th July but I havn't seen any updates from them as to whether they are now satisfied with the plans or not. If they are then once the consultation period on the updated plans ends at the end of the month then it's all ready to go to the planning commitee.

I must admit I get the opposite, Some of the nimby comments on both the argus and their own website have me in fits of laughter.

So just that I'm clear: The consultation period finishes at the end of July. The revised application then has to go to the Highways Agency then, if OK, it goes to the Adur District Council Planning Committee late summer/early autumn. If approved there, are there any more hurdles or are we set to go?

It's already with the highways agency and it's just a matter of getting over their objection ( which could be any day ) once that happens and the consultation period ends then it can go to the planning commitee. If all goes well I think the Albion are looking at it going to septembers planning meeting.

Thanks, and then, if approved, we're there?

Good morning. I agree. That's precisely the reason I no longer go on there.

What a shame you've broken your 3-year silence now we've got our beautiful ground, which will soon seat over 30,000 Albion fans. I was hoping you'd died.

Classy.

Mods - please can you delete my account - I can't seem to be able to do it myself - I only came back to see if I could delete the account and found that people are still talking about me years later. Don't you guys have anything better to discuss?

So you come back on exactly the same day that you are mentioned? OK then, if you say so.

Why bother coming back just to delete your account? You could just stay away. Then again, you probably don't have anything better to do.

How very coincidental that you came back 3 years later to delete your account on the very same day you get mentioned!! I think somebody has a secret NSC crush and checks in everyday. Maybe even got a season ticket this season?? antifalmer

Methinks it's someone's second account, probably a Palace fan being mischievous. Or Norman Baker, who is a wanker.

I have a look at NSC from time to time, maybe once every few weeks at best. It offers an alternative view to that other great Brighton and Hove institution, the Argus website. NSC seems to have deteriorated in terms of quality over the last few years and there are more interesting sites out there, so I visit less and less often. I noticed my name only because it was in a non-football related thread. I don't read anything to do with football - too tedious.
