How strange. I live in Croydon and all the victoria-bound trains from here call at Clapham Jn so I assumed a lot of them must come up from Brighton.

A lot of the rush hour ones from Brighton are Gatwick Express which go straight from Gatwick to Victoria.

I too don't think it'll be that bad next week. Will be quiet because it's Christmas and a lot of people will just stay away full stop.

The quietest journeys I've had in in recent years have been during the Olympics and the week London Bridge was shut.

Jan 5th will be chaos though!
