Consternation in Mallorca today over very large and visible graffiti in Manacor (2nd biggest city) saying “Kill a tourist”.

Obviously not the sentiments of most demonstrators but growing fears of where the nutters on the extremities of the argument are heading and how the whole saga is escalating.

Brighton factually.....
Well the holiday season is in full swing, has anyone actually experienced any aggression abroad yet, off to Cadiz next weekend and exploring the Andalusia coast line all the way down Tarifa, I really can't be doing with any animosity, it might put me off for life.

I'm pretty sure it depends where you go. Last week we were in Tenerife, but not in the big resorts, instead in a 'local' resort near Santa Cruz that basically had one big all inclusive hotel and very few Air BnB. Didn't see any anti tourist stuff, the two small black sand beaches were full of locals and we ate with some one night in a tapas bar. Hotel itself was about a third English, third Spanish, third French. It was absolutely fantastic. The hotel is a good part of the village economy but we had to exist with them.

In fact the only issue was going home but that's another story for the IT blow up thread......

In that part of the country I don't imagine you'll have any issues.

Make sure you check out the market in Cadiz and get some chicharrónes. Also, be sure to eat some tuna on the coast; Zahara de los Atunes would be an ideal place to do some. If you have time, make a detour inland to Vejer de la Frontera too.
