At some point this week me and the kids will be sitting down to rewatch ITV's two hour review programme from last year that we have saved on the freesat box....just to get us in the mood for this year :)

I'm 10 pages off finishing 'How I Won The Yellow Jumper', by Ned Boulting.
I have, Racing through the Dark: The Fall and Rise of David Millar, ready to go.
I've read CycleSport cover to cover.
I've listened to The Real Peloton & Flamme Rouge podcasts
and I'm just starting to build a winter hack.

By jimminy, am I ready for this one.

Get to see it in person as it passes the local village to the camp site where we are next week on Thursday. 10am for the Caravan and 11.30am for the Peloton.

Will you be wearing an Albion shirt for the occasion ?

Good point. I'll make sure the kids wear their Albion shirts. The youngest still wears his Grimsby (a) shirt every now and then. Don't ask...inlaws.

Can the Grimsby Town away shirt be accidentally thrown on the campsite fire ?

I have both of these too, just started Millar's book, it has been superb so far.

Ooh, winter hack. Getting some serious training in for next summer are we? Or finding an excuse for playing with bikes rather than going to the effort of actually riding them? He says wiping the grease from his hands after replacing the chainset on his commuter/winter bike

A little bit of both, as my knee is currently knackered, I went out for a spin yesterday, and seem to have put rehab back by a couple of weeks.

But re hack, Wifey brought it for me as Glasto guilt, you'll be sooooo jealous.
It's a Team Liquigas Bianchi, that had been mistreated but, sound.

I'm really enjoying bringing it back to life, the paint work has come up a treat.
I'm just slowly getting the groupset together through Ebay.

Hold your horses the 'official' thread doesn't start till Friday.

Come on, come on start it today, needs lots of stars and the right info:

******Offical 98th Tour de France, July 2nd-24th 2011, France (Italy)********

Perhaps even a TV logo

I am excited and its a year I am too busy and booked up to go and visit big time in the Pyrenese/Alps.

We have quick three day excursion hopefully day 6 top of the mightly named (cat 4) Cote du Billiot about 16:00.

Day 7 at Lhomme outside my mothers in laws house 13:10 (whoosh) then back inside for beer, peanuts and a Cav sprint finish.

Still silver lining and all, first time in years I will be able to watch the highligts everynight on telly and hear the podcasts as they happen.

Viva la Tour, Cav yellow day one, Green in Paris.

Team sky win TTT day 2, Thomas in White and Yellow.

Contador to win again.

The Russians are coming watch out for KOLOBNEV and the Katusha team, it will all be atack, atack, atack...

Come on Stat Brother you are the NSC king of cycling, get that thread going

( I will repeat myself again once its starts)

Ist debate, anyone bought any of the mags yet and do any have a wall chart for the kitchen door...

That's the one, just not those wheels, I doubt Wifey would have picked it up so quick.

Oh yes, Veloce, so it's the same as my summer bike.
