That's not what you've said in your first post. You seem to have very strong opinions on what people should not wear. Are you bottling this thread now?

How can you 'bottle' an Internet thread....

Have it your way. I'd say in my humble opinion that the orders of the day are;

Adidas for footwear

Barbour
One True Saxon
Victorinox
Lacoste (for polos and shirts)

Firstly, the level of English in this thread is shocking.

Secondly, what is so wrong with having the name of the brand on the exterior of the garment you're wearing? And unacceptable to whom, exactly?

The OP forgot the all important FULL STOP in this one:

BENCH.

What about Aber-crombie and Fitch? (had to edit a hyphen in there to avoid a link!).

Anyone who wears those predictable labels ends up looking like an extra from TOWIE or My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding.

And let's not forget the AmericanApparel coloured hoodies with the white drawstring and zip. FLIPPIN' UNIFORM - HAVE THEY NO IMAGINATIONS?!!!

I only view Nike as sports wear.

i quite often bang a pair of Nike trainers on with some jeans and go to the pub, not just sportswear really. also i like wearing Nike tracksuit bottoms when not doing sports wear. Is a bit chavy but i find them comfortable.

Hollister, est. 1922.

f***ing shitty, duplicitous, manipulative brand.

It's the equivalent of Brighton & Hove Albion trying to win fans by pretending they were formed in 1867, were founder members of the Football League and somehow kick started the spread of football's popularity to South America.

Fair enough, some good choices there but of those, I'd say only One True Saxon is what I'd wear. I'm not a big fan of Adidas unless it's Stan Smiths or SL72s. I used to like Y-3 but the quality is awful for what you pay. I like Barbour but everyone wears them to football, don't they? Lacoste? No thanks. Paul Smith, Fred Perry, Lyle & Scott polos for me. Lacoste loses it's shape almost as quickly as Penguin. I've never seen anything by Victorinox that I like but then again I haven't looked too hard.

As you said though, each to their own.

I mention Barbour as an overall brand not just the quilted coats (which for the record have significantly lost their appeal since every Tom Dick and Harry begun wearing them, and literally every clothing company started making imitations). Barbour do some top quality clobber at decent prices. The International and Steve McQueen range deserve mentions.

I'm with Icy on this one - what does it matter what brand is on your clothes ? Only a moron would really care.

The only unacceptable brand is the Jo variety.
