Mindless acts of violence against defenceless anumals really makes my blood boil. If I was in charge of the law I would hang him for that, and yes I am being serious. A death for a death.

Maybe if you were a little less histrionic people would be less tempted?

Whereas running a horse into the ground or forcing a premature death through a racing accident is more than fine?

I'll have a ready salted pringle, if there's one going Mr BoF.

I'm sorry US, but you have got to see the apparent contradiction in those two sets of viewpoints. You abhor violence against animals, yet love horse racing, which includes the use of a whip against a horse. I'm not trying to be deliberately provocative, but I'd genuinely like to know how you square those two viewpoints?

Is horse racing GOOD for horses, or BAD for horses? Do they LOVE it, like dogs going for a walk?

Yes, you have really pissed me off.

I do apologise Mr Glovebox. It was a reckless bit of baiting to pass the time of day and it wasn't a serious comment  I very much enjoyed meeting you last time and would not be adverse to buying you a cold beverage if I were to bump into you before a game. I can only think of the real issue being our different view points of Mr Dean Wilkins and I am not going to hold that against anyone personally. I happen to agree with you on the issues of animal cruelty.

Nobody “loves to run” when they’re suffering from bleeding lungs or painful leg injuries, but that doesn’t stop trainers from pumping these animals full of drugs to mask the pain, enhance their performance and just plain keep them going.
