Bath, Somerset.
Yet another example of how the Tories preach 'responsibility' to the rest of us, but never accept any themselves; always blame everyone else.

Similarly, bang on about 'parliamentary sovereignty', but show absolute contempt for Parliament when it takes decisions they don't like.

Doubtless this weekend the Tory press and Johnson's sycophantic supporters will tell us how 'a great man, who got Brexit done' was brought down by a 'deep state conspiracy', 'a vengeful pro-EU Establishment', or 'liberal elites in the civil service, media and universities'.

The blue on blue blood letting is spectacular.

And, there’s going to be a lot,lot more.
Throughout my lifetime the Conservative party has always had a sticking plaster over its European infected wounds.

Cameron had a peak at the pus seeping from the edges, Johnson ripped it off.

There is only so much salt and vinegar they can pour it whilst in power.

Yup. What happens after the next election will be a delight to behold.
They'll sort themselves out though. They've been doing it for more than 300 years.

I had a listen to R5 this morning when they kept going live to Sunak expecting a bloodbath with questions about the resignation 'honours' list. That didn't happen so we got a lengthy listen to his views on AI and innovation.

I was struck by how professional and plausible he sounds. Fluent, confident, yes hubristic, but impressive. Very much like Blair. I even think I detected the odd glottal stop.

As long as he avoids the aggressive bluster he's been using against Starmer in Parliament (and even if he doesn't) he's likely to have those tories who found Johnson a bit much flocking back.

The question is how much the Johnson gang decides to hammer him. Any whiff of Sunak having been a willing and complicit member of the Johnson gang in the past is likely to be used by the Johnson gang to discredit him. If Sunak decides to face them down, the blond piglet in particular, it may well help him. A great deal.

Interesting times?

Ah. I find his stuff very funny and he certainly knows his area of France
Oh yes, he spun out a great story about Brexiters living in France & the swans etc, but was called out on it. He blocked everyone and then started again. I was one of those blocked even though I’d never disparaged him. I found him very funny, too.
I would take everything he tweets with a pinch of salt.
