The worst tribalism I have seen in recent years has been from steadfast Tory voters who simply will not accept or acknowledge any mistakes or dishonesty from Conservative governments and Prime Ministers. No matter how cruel, incompetent, corrupt, deceitful, duplicitous and dishonest recent Conservative governments and their leaders have been, and regardless of how many £ billions of tax-payers' money they have spaffed on dodgy contracts awarded to Tory donors and Ministers' mates, their supporters have brazenly defended and excused them, often with the utterly pathetic and juvenile "Yeah, but Labour/Corbyn would have been worse".
When Labour governments screw-up, many Labour supporters condemn them, and say they will consider voting for another party next time, because they feel betrayed.
When Tory governments screw-up, most Conservatives blindly defend or excuse them, blame everyone else, and insist that they could not contemplate ever voting for anyone else. That's 'tribalism' for you!
It's also a reason why the Tories can behave so arrogantly and incompetently; they know that about 30% of the electorate is so tribal that they'll carry on voting Tory regardless - Suella Braverman could turn-up on their doorstep in broad daylight, poison their pets, torture their children, and then burn their house down in front of their eyes, and they'd still vote Conservative at the next election while blaming everything on Labour, the EU, or 'the Woke'.
Of course, it helps enormously when you've got the Daily Mail, Daily Express, Sun, Times, and Daily Telegraph acting as government cheer-leaders everyday, and viciously smearing or misrepresenting your political opponents and critics - you could literally get away with murder.

People using 'woke' and 'snowflake' are just trying to shut down the debate.
It's much easier to dismiss something as 'woke' rather than to actually think about the issue and discuss it.
They've already lost the argument so they shut it down. It's classic alt-right shenanigans of trying to control and discredit progressive debates.

Yup, I've always noticed this; how the Right play the (wo)man - sorry, being 'Woke there to avoid sexism! - not the ball. Close-down debate, or discredit your critic or opponent by applying what are intended to be derogatory labels to discredit them - 'Woke', 'snow-flake', politically-correct, virtue-signaling, 'loony-Left', militant, 'feminazi', etc. Then, you will have discredited their views or policies without even having to discuss them.
I also find the use of 'snowflake' interesting. It is used by Right-wingers to ridicule people who are supposedly thin-skinned and therefore easily offended; the implication is that they need to become more resilient and 'man-up' up by recognising that other people also have different views and opinions.
What I find bemusing is that, on social media over the last 6 years, it is those who accuse others of being 'snowflakes' who are actually most easily-offended and upset if you criticise their heroes Boris Johnson and Nigel Farage, or suggest that Brexit has not been a resounding success. They then start having a toddler-tantrum, throw their toys out of the pram, and demand that you be silenced, sacked or banned - the very cancel-culture they complain about.

Everyone does this. On every side of every political argument. “Gammons”, “fascists”, “nasty party”, “racist”, “sexist” if you aren’t as socially liberal or economically left, relative to the person making the accusation.
Mud-slinging is constant, rampant and happens from all sides including right here in this very thread and wider forum.
