Blimey - there is a God after all !

1. Truss looks to be out of the running - she came bottom in almost everything.
2. Tom Tugendhat came top in best performer, best PM, most charismatic, most trustworthy etc.
I can't see him getting into the final 2 unfortunately, but he's definitely the best out of the last 5.

Unfortunately they asked normal people for their opinion........

Liz Truss is what happens if you order Margaret Thatcher from Wish.com

In honour of this, I thought I would replicate Ashens from Youtube and see what the first thing that comes up on Wish is. (He searches for random words and buys them - I just searched)

This is the first result. I hope Truss doesn't take inspiration

Is it me or was she actually trying to talk like Thatcher by lowering her pitch slightly and copying Thatcher’s pronunciation? Just ****ing weird.

She's getting more like a character from Rocky Horror where Frank-N-Furter tries to make a Margaret Thatcher with each passing day :lolol:

Yes. She’s had extensive voice coaching to go ‘lower and slower.’ Like you say, just ****ing weird. There’s nothing wrong with admiring the values and political ideology of political leaders from a previous century; but to turn up to a tv debate effectively dressed exactly like them and trying to sound like them is unhinged, slightly unnerving and shows a huge lack of judgement.

What a freak she has turned into.

It's just like Genesis P Orridge and Lady Jaye. It'ds only going to end in one place.

I find her nylon hair fascinating. Does she use the same manufacturer as Micky Fabricaant?

In this I don't truss.JPG

I don't usually subscribe to 'what does she look like' threads but the narrative here is image being used to tickle the subconscious prejudices of voters, and it does deserve to be mocked.

Exactly this.

Doubtless there will be people saying ‘oh here we go again; female politicians being defined by what they wear rather than by what they say and stand for’ etc etc etc

But for me that is spectacularly missing the point. This is a leadership (and PM) contest where the candidates have defined the battle lines as trust, integrity and authenticity. And then one of them turns up dressed as, and trying to sound like, someone else. In and of itself, that deserves ridicule, not least because people are fed up being taken for fools. It’s a really sixth form thing to do and not one you’d expect from a 46 year old Foreign Secretary. It’s just really odd and I can’t believe her aides and advisors let her do it.
