Pincher going so another by election

20,000 majority to overturn in Tamworth. (30k votes out of 46k votes cast)

Similar majority in Dorries seat.

Labour were second in both

Are they within reach?

Does Sunak get binned if they lose those?

And replace with who is the question. He's the most competent they have.

If there is any sensibility in there, they will thinking who will be their next leader of the opposition.

History tells us they will lurch to the right in opposition and lose the election after next.

A new more centrist leader will take over and purge the party of extremists. Probably winning the election in 10 years after Labour have run out of ideas.

Foreign Secretary.

I was talking more about the leader. There are parallels with Labour post Blair/Brown, unfortunately upsetting comrades on here.

Eventually they wake up in opposition.

Labour will get in next election quite comfortably. Be interesting what the Tories do.

What's a bit different this time, is that have gone bat shit crazy in power with multiple leaders. Usually what opposition parties do.

The problem being not so much the leader ( he is the best they have ) but who he is forced to surround himself with.

Historically the Tories are able to hide their factions and not go too ideological most the time. What I've mean by that is policies and approach that get them over the line, in-line with enough of the electorate. It's all about reading the room at the time.

Historically when they really f@@@ up they revert. See the poll tax.

They've learnt nothing about the reasons that have seen Labour lose out for most of my life.

Possibly they will wake up and go sensible again.

LHR/LGW have been using the same concrete for the runways

Who signed this off?
civil engineers, who want to use a cheap, light material, under the misapprehension they'd be properly built and well maintained to avoid problems.

MP’s sneaked through a cheeky little change on the August bank holiday.

MP’s losing their seats will no longer get an extra 2 months pay after the next election, they’ve doubled it to 4 months.

A cynic might suggest that the pay review committee who decided this are being influenced by the rats just about to jump ship? £2.3m extra for the taxpayer to help those poor MP’s who have been kicked out. Disgraceful.

This really does show how low down the pecking order we have slipped.

Sunak was told he’d likely not be invited to talks alongside other world leaders because of his weak climate goals and cow-towing to lobbyist corporations that he, his cronies, and his family have links to. So his schedule suddenly became too busy.
What a ****.

What has the U.K. become? A pariah state. And the worst thing? It’s a deliberate act by Sunak to make his chums rich.

“The UK government has caused consternation in capitals around the world by seeming to waver on its commitments to net zero emissions and the 2015 Paris climate agreement. Sunak’s decision over the summer to “max out” the North Sea by licensing new oil and gas fieldsraised eyebrows among many countries and climate diplomats.
Sunak would risk falling foul of the UN secretary-general’s strict stipulations if he were to attempt to participate in the climate segment. The potential embarrassment he faced throws a new light on his decision not to attend the UN general assembly”……

“World leaders received letters from the UN last month making these terms clear, the Guardian understands. They were told that merely having net zero targets would not be sufficient to guarantee participation, and evidence of clear and ambitious policy measures and commitments was needed. Without this, countries could attend but not participate in the discussions”.

Tory news engineering dept realise they've gone a bit overkill with refugees on boats, decide to put it on the shelf for a week or so and come up with some new material. Got to find a new wolf at the door, how about CHINA? So, Chinese spies infultrating our democracy so they are the new enemy. Investigation underway, it's either Keith in accounts or sumyung Guy. You just also have to temporarily forget we want to fall over ourselves to join a trading block with China because they are our real friends not those pesky EU lot over the Channel

Hang on, the spy for China worked for the China Research Group?

Audacious!
The Tories seem to have a lot of "research groups" for various things, they all seem to be set up for no reason other than to advance some nefarious plan, funded in a highly opaque way and normally leading to disastrous outcomes
