The other day I posted how I was team anything but Sunak. Given what I've heard from Penny and Liz today and their prominence in the betting, I've actually come round to the opinion he is the least worst of those options.

Facking hell.

Do we really have to wait until 5pm to hear that Zahawi has been kicked out the race?

I’m sure Suella de Vil will join him when she sees so few have backed her too in a desperate attempt to get into Truss’ cabinet.

And I thought that getting rid of Johnson may have given traditional Conservatives the opportunity to reclaim their party from the current SEL cabal

One nation Tories are dead in water, a good chuck of the members are the remains of the UKIP freak show.

Appeal to them first, then get to work on gaslighting the public aided by Barclay, Murdoch, Rothermere and whoever the latest non-dom is to infiltrate our media

It is crazy that they looked at the damage (to the UK & the Tory Party's reputation) Johnson's Brexit / Proto-fascist government wrought, and thought "What we need is to do MORE of that shit".

Really not surprised Zahawi has gone, bit of a car-crash of a campaign.
Many warming to Mordaunt, and I expect her and Sunak to make it to the final two, which will have the ERG-lot spitting feathers.

Surely the ERG lot will get behind Brexit Liz? Not sure neither Mordaunt or Sunak are over the line yet.

Unless Sunak 'lends' votes to other candidates to get rid of Mordaunt before it gets to the members.

He's scared of facing her.

Mordaunt is from the ERG, she is a profound Brexiteer. Why would the ERG be spitting feathers at her teaching the final two?

Oh, they will, but I wouldn't rule out Badenoch on that front either, who at least has been honest on the flipside of lower taxes (without actually telling us which public services she'll cease).
My point was that 'PM for PM' and 'Ready for Rishi' will make it to the final two, irrespective of what the ERG lot do (who are far more voluble than numerous).

Not so sure... Looking at those results, I suspect we'll get something like this:

Hunt's 18 go to Sunak, Mordaunt, Tugendhat
Zahawi's 25 go to Truss, Badenoch, Braverman

But I reckon Braverman will be next out (may even quit before next round). Her votes then mostly go Truss / Badenoch.

Tugendhat is then next out. His votes mostly go Sunak / Mordaunt.

Badenoch next out, her votes mostly go to Truss.

Leaves us with a tight race between Truss and Mordaunt for second?
