She was repeating what Charlotte Edwardes said about how she was sexually assaulted by Johnson (a claim that No 10 denies). Edwardes is, of course, a writer for those well known far left publications: The Times, Telegraph and Tatler.

COmmie bint was clearly asking for it!

Now Bojo and Abbott, with gin in the buffet car on a train, not a pretty sight.

It’s probably true. Mind you, you could tell me he had been accused of sacrificing children and I’d be inclined to believe it. Once he’d emptied their pockets of their dinner money, of course.

At the Downing Street lobby briefing, which has just ended, the prime minister’s spokesperson confirmed that Boris Johnson “was aware of some reports and some allegations” about Chris Pincher when he appointed him as deputy chief whip in February.

But these allegations had either been resolved, or no action had been taken, and so they were not regarded as a barrier to his being appointed as deputy chief whip, the spokesperson said.

Apparently bbc sounds have edited her comments from the live broadcast

Wouldn't affect her maths even if she did.

Diane Abbot is a type 1 diabetic as am I.

The thing with diabetes is, when you have very low blood sugar you can experience various symptoms. One that I get, unusually is an itchy stomach. But, one of the most recognised symptoms is mental confusion, and it is very disconcerting. I believe it was reported that Abbot was suffering from hypoglycaemia at the time of the infamous interview.

And , before anyone says”She should have known her blood sugars were low” it doesn’t work like that, there are a range of reasons why your blood sugar can drop for no apparent reason, including illness, and stress, so to joke that Abbot is numerically challenged because of that interview is pretty ignorant of the effects of diabetes.

Given that she born the daughter of a welder and a nurse, passed her 11+ and and got into the local state grammar school, then graduated from Cambridge, became the first Black Woman MP in Britain and held that seat for the last 35 years I think she could be described as 'fairly successful', don't you ?

Not that I think she would be too bothered by what someone who spends every waking hour of every day posting crap on a football forum thinks :lolol:

Thanks for the thumbsup

This. If that’s the best Tory fans can come up with, I despair. But she is a successful, black, female. Not attributes Tory’s welcome with open arms.

Abbot is a very intelligent and motivated person who is forward thinking, pro positive social change, pro-choice, spoke up for same sex marriage rights.

To pick on her getting some maths wrong on the spot a couple of times is frankly, pathetic.

But then I’ve just seen who it was who wrote the post mocking her. No surprises.

Very accomplished and inspiring politicians who supports and fights for her constituents. We could do with more like her.

She also passed the fast track civil service exam - which is pretty tough (current pass rate 1.8%). You have to be exceptionally bright to get through it

I didn't know any of that.

In which case the way she has been mocked has been discgraceful. I'll hold up my hand as an intermittent mocker. Subconscious bias? Hmmm....
