Apparently a couple of dozen Tory MPs have handed in letters to the 1922 committee asking for the 12 month rule to be changed.

I wonder whether there’ll be a few more come Monday…

There’s certainly quite a few with small majorities who are worried about their jobs.

Who can blame them? Like I said yesterday, these are two very different types of seat, and both fell.

Judging by his comments tonight Johnson is utterly delusional. Sounded more like Trump than ever.
Indeed, seems like he's showing signs of wanting to become a dictator, putting himself ahead of his party...every time he says things like this another few Tory MPs will be sharpening their knives.

Proroguing parliament, deceiving the Queen, sacrificing all his underlings and suggesting that is the cleansing response the public requires..... I'd say he's been showing dictatorial signs for quite a long time....

Senior Conservatives accused Boris Johnson of increasingly “delusional” behaviour on Saturday night after he said he was already planning for his third term as prime minister, just two days after the Tories suffered a catastrophic double byelection defeat at the hands of the Liberal Democrats and Labour.

As talk of replacing Johnson intensified, several senior MPs questioned why the prime minister had been allowed to give interviews in which he said he would refuse to change his ways, and then, in even more defiant terms, told journalists at the Commonwealth summit in Rwanda that he was planning to be in Downing Street until well into the 2030s.

Given he seems to have no idea how to deal with the problems of 2022, how on Earth does he have ideas of how to solve the issues of 2034?

Very sure he has no idea of what to do, but that isn't the point for him, I'd venture to suggest. He's wanted to be PM since he was five and that seems to be all that matters. One of the most selfish people that ever lived.

Boris Johnson has the drive to keep going as PM, despite two by-election defeats for the Conservatives, cabinet minister Brandon Lewis says.

The PM is facing criticism after Thursday's losses of Wakefield and Tiverton and Honiton but said he is planning for a third term in office.

Labour and the Lib Dems have urged him to resign and one Tory MP wants party rules to change so he can be ousted.
