I'm not even sure they're trying if this woman is the example of their candidates.

Wonderful a-whoopin' and a-hollerin' at the question.

Bravo.

Simon Clarke MP, Treasury Minister says we ALL have to make sacrifices in the present economic climate.

Just like we ALL had to follow the rules during lockdown, maybe?

The problem she has is that she answers with the smugness and complacency of a safe-seat tory MP that won't have to defend their seat for another 2+ years - probably watched too much Question Time over past couple of years. She seems to have forgetten that she needs the people she's sneering at to actually vote for her in less than a week

She may be onto something. You only have to look at the number of people who keep voting for Johnson despite his sneering at them his whole life

Could you imagine Johnson's face if he actually had to engage with some of his supporters on here socially :lolol:

Indeed.

Whereas the alt-right hate immigrants, Islam, every single LGBTQ+ denomination but particularly the trans people (who were referred to on here by one of our lovely woke-baiters as "fruit of the forest transvestities"), Covid laws, working families, BLM, good governance, honesty, fidelity and protest.

You're not minimising Jew hatred there, are you?
None of what you (correctly) state makes it any less disgusting or more forgiveable, does it?

Number 10 admitting that they contacted the times to get them to remove the story about boris wanting to give Carrie a job is quite something. Some of the media are just state propaganda. The weird thing is that people who previously called them “the lame stream media” will not have a problem with PM’s people controlling them. We are drifting closer and closer to something really bad.

Well I was thinking of the scene of Edward Woodward in "The Wicker Man" really. With Boris as the policeman...

Call me an old sentimentalist, but I can think of few more hertwarming scenes than Johnson singing a penitant 'All things Bright and Beautiful' in a surprisingly clear tenor, hands clasped in prayer, while surrounded by a dancing circle of gentle townsfolk and children, watching the inner circle of fire slowly consume him. Metaphorically speaking, of course.

Yes, it just keeps getting worse, we realy have God awful press in this country...to the extent that some of them want to blame the leader of the opposition for the coming strike.

A lot of the Tories, including the Tory press, over the last week have been bringing up the fact that Labour MP take money from the unions, without even a HINT of irony.

During the debate last week there was a flashpoint where one particularly stupid back bencher tried to attack Louise Haigh for taking money from a completely unrelated trade union.
