I guess we have to ask ourselves with the government taking control of the electoral commission how much longer will this information be available?

Even more difficult to work out is why Tory controlled MSDC now think the Burgess Hill Northern Arc could be a part of Ansty, ignoring the recommendation of their own officers. This means council tax would go to the Ansty Parish Council rather than Burgess Hill Town Council. It is I am sure a simple coincidence that the Chair of the Committee recommending this course of action represents Ansty on MSDC.

That is now being reviewed as a petition for the boundary review reached sufficient numbers. The amount in question is £250,000 which would be the parish council precept part of the council tax. However, the original decision does stink of corruption!!

6:17 onwards, check out the US view (well, the masterful Stephen Colbert) on our dear leader. We are officially a global laughing stock with this shambolic lying fop-haired goon at the tiller.

Makes you proud to be British.

Typical fake disingenuous talk show host, stupid weak jokes and contrived moronic whoops & cheers.

But yeah Boris is embarrassing

You can't report mods to mods though.

That's why he posts under that account.

Anyway, he is gone now, he can find another victim to continue sniping at.

Don't you find this thread very negative?

Perhaps some posters should rant on twitter, rather than keep agreeing with one another on here.

When does the football season start TB we can all be positive then.:lolol:

mouldy, he's not a mod

also, you're an alt-right zealout, so if this thread get's you down because you perceive it to be negative, don't open it!

this thread is, in reality, positive, as we are all patriots

As you Right-wingers claim to be opposed to 'cancel culture' and curbs on free-speech (unlike the 'fascist Left', eh?), you surely welcome threads like this one - you're not one of those easily-offended snow-flakes you lot despise, surely? Would you like a 'safe-space' or a 'trigger-warning' to protect your hyper-delicate sensitivities?

If you really don't like being exposed to non-Tory views and opinions, however, you have plenty of options: a) don't open posts on this thread; b) stick to the Tory echo-chamber provided by The Sun, the Daily Mail, the Daily Express, The Times, and the Daily Telegraph - those supposedly patriotic newspapers owned by a handful of non-dom tax-avoiding billionaires, and which all act as the Tories' very own Pravda or Pyongyang Times c) emigrate to a regime like Russia or North Korea where public criticism of the government and its 'great leader' is not permitted - I am sure you and your ilk would feel quite at home in these closed and tyrannical societies.

The rest of us, meanwhile, will not be silenced by the increasing authoritarianism of this government or its servile Johnson-worshipping followers - amazing how many people who ridiculed the childish 'hero-worship' and 'cult' of Jeremy Corbyn themselves practice the same childish 'hero-worship' and 'cult of Boris' (or Farage). There again, rank hypocrisy - and an attitude of 'Do as we say, not as we do' - are core features of rabid Right-wingers and Tory jackboot-lickers.

Correct. Although speaking to a BH Town Councillor the concern is that MSDC will simply chose to ignore the boundary review again leaving BHTC with no option other a legal challenge at council tax payers expense. It’s unquestionably corrupt, nobody has ever suggested that the Northern Arc is anything other than an extension of BH. The only benefit the town will gain from this massive development is the additional council tax as there is no S106 monies or equivalent.

Didn't we lose out on the developer contributions because the then tory town council prevaricated about formulating a town plan?

I'm near the Woolpack, so quite close to the development.

So , it appears our esteemed Chancellor of the Exchequer has made a bit of a faux pas.

By failing to insure against interest rate rises, he he’s ,allegedly cost the country £11 billion.

It makes Gordon Browns Gold deposit cock up ( between 2-5 billion loss depending on who you believe) chicken feed by comparison.
The party of fiscal responsibility continues to exceed expectations.

the suggestion is Tresuary should have borrowed more last year, on longer dates at lower rates, to offset potential short term rises. more debt a bit cheaper. it may also be monetising the QE debt, shfting some from BoE to Treasury. its not as straight forward as announcing you'll flood the market on gold.

Someone will be along to defend it, for sure.

There is a good article about 'truth' in Al Jazeera at the moment. Worth a read.

Completely different ! just an accounting error, draw a line under this and move on .... we will make it up thanks to our ever expanding workforce and our booming economy plus all the trade deals we are just about to do !.....simples.

And now the government is going to burn up £4bn of dodgy, crap, useless PPE procured through the bent contract arrangements with "friends & families" of Tory ministers and MPs. Yup. £4bn. That £4bn would have built at least 4 new hospitals.

Sunak, who oversaw the Treasury paying out these huge sums to his mates and their friends and families for basically useless product should be made to reimburse the country for his incompetence and make recompense.

They had to do something fast initially (fair enough), but they also should have applied more checks and balances and made people aware abuse would have severe penalties. Its benefit fraud, nothing else

I know tradespeople that took furlough and never stopped working
