I see self righteous Starmer is now being accused of breaking Coved rules…..interesting given his outrage about Johnson

Good grief, there are at least two full pages already on this (40 posts to a page) and you still don't see the truth, because you don't like him.

I don’t support BJ and Harry is a Leftie Pinko

:lolol:

Tell that to my lefty pinko brother (but not while he's eating or he'll surely choke on his laughter and vittles)

I’ll leave it here. I don’t spend much time on this thread so hadn’t seen it on here, just saw it on the news and it made me smile.

I don’t like him but I am also amused that the disliking Starmer is seen as being a Johnson fan.

Politics is so fecking black and white

It is a shame when people living outside Lilliput fall for this claptrap. I thought better of this poster. Hopefully it's a one-off. We can all fall for tropes that fulfill or secret (or not so secret) wishes

Nothing to do with his politics but Starmer strikes me as charisma free self righteous prig and not someone I’d trust

It's not a binary choice in reality of course, but to satisfy my curiosity, who do you trust most - Johnson or Starmer?

I don’t trust Johnson and I doubt I’d trust Starmer if he ever gets to run the country.

Did I say I am not even vaguely impressed by his Mr Hindsight vitriol?

I WILL leave it there you’ll all be pleased to know

I don’t trust Johnson and I doubt I’d trust Starmer if he ever had to actually run the country.

I'd trust Starmer far more than I would Boris. Starmer might not have a huge amount of charisma, and he might stretch the truth from time to time (all politicians do to some extent, it's part of the game), but I've not yet seen anything that would suggest he's a habitual liar who believes his own lies.

Fair enough, though am I right to sense that your mis-trust of Starmer is based on a hunch and how he 'seems' to you, rather than the catalogue of evidence for Johnson?

Sir Keir Starmer was investigated by Durham police in January, so it has 'already all come out'. He was cleared of any wrongdoing because he was eating a pizza and having a beer in a Labour office after campaigning.
It was April 2021 when the rules on lockdown were completely different, and allowable under campaign rules.

Not content with this, the Daily Mail decided that Angela Rayner going to the same office constituted an offence but even their front page says they were there at different times with an hour's separation.

Boris Johnson also had a beer in Hartlepool, to celebrate the win. Photo on post 5871

Richard Holden, Conservative MP, tweeted proudly he had asked Durham police to reinvestigate the situation, but when you actually read the letter they sent him, it is a standard reply to a FOI letter. There is nothing about reopening the investigation.

This same Richard Holden went for a curry with Ghurka soldiers that same month April 2021.

There is nothing to all come out. April 2021 rules were vastly different to 2020 rules. I hope this helps.

That’s OK then, let’s see how it develops. Took a while with Johnson before the TRUTH came out.

you don't trust starmer because he's not acting the goat all the time?

Gods country fortnightly
Barely news worthy these days....

Tory peer Michelle Mone has been raided as part of a police fraud probe into multi-million pound PPE deal

https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/polit...r.com&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=sharebar

The National Crime Agency is investigating deals by PPE Medpro, a company set up by a business associate of Baroness Mone.

Her £11m London home, owned by an offshore company linked to her husband’s Isle of Man business, is one of a string of properties raided by NCA officers this week.

It is understood a special unit within the NCA have been looking into the allegations for a year.

PPE Medpro won more than £200m in Covid contracts from the Department for Health in 2020 after Baroness Mone referred the firm to the Cabinet Office via the so-called "VIP lane".

So why deny she was there? If Labour didn't see it as an issue she didn't she have corrected it when it came out - the times don't matter, they said she wasn't there at all.

Why are Labour now asking for us to all move on from Party Gate, when realistically its going to be the thing most likely to take Johnson down

I don't think they should be fined for this, but nor should Johnson for the cake incident - the rest 100% he should

Only if you choose to make it so. I think you are being accused of falling for a load of old bollocks, rather than being a Johnson fan.

Apologies if I bracketed you in with those pursuing this load old bollocks while knowing it to be untrue (which is what the Johnsonians are doing).

I already answered this, this morning.

Johnson will receive more fines because the police are investigating them chronologically, and they were only up to the third party of twelve.
If only it was the only problem we had with this PM and this government.
