As a woman I am loathe to criticise other women, but Liz Truss is absolutely incompetent. She doesn't know her Baltics from her Balkans and then this faux pas.

Oh dear. If you don't understand grammar and punctuation this is where you end up. That reads as if the UK and Greece are united in their condemnation of the isolation of Russia. She isn't fit for purpose; an embarrassment to our country.

Meh, it makes sense as it is. An Oxford comma might have added a touch of clarity but anybody of reasonable intelligence should be able to parse the sentence OK.

Getting the name wrong (subsequently corrected) was a boo-boo, but probably the boo-boo of an underling rather than of Truss herself.

Boris the Liar at it again in Parliament. Honestly, who believes this guff?

“Fact-checking PM’s claim on refugees
UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has said in Parliament: “We’ve done more to resettle vulnerable people than any other European country since 2015."

He’s made this claim before, and the government says it refers to “resettled refugees” - people who were admitted to the UK from another country where they had initially sought refuge.

The UK has resettled 25,530 of them since 2015 – the majority of them were Syrians. This is ahead of France, which admitted 16,345 under this scheme, and Germany with 14,540.

But this figure ignores hundreds of thousands of refugees who were granted asylum outside of this scheme.

If you add up the number of resettled refugees and those who were granted asylum, some European countries have allowed far more people in.

The UK granted refuge to a total of 92,232 people from around the world from 2015 to 2020.

By comparison, Germany granted refuge to 1,060,000 people in the same period.” BBC

He also added two or three times that the Labour Party should shoulder some of the blame for the current energy crisis ....after 14 odd years out of office ? Also bigging up the current government's nuclear programme....which is probably never going to come to fruition.

NUC's take 10 years to get planning, 10 years to build and 10 years to get the carbon back involved in the build and leave a toxic legacy for the next generation

They're a crap solution don't address the climate emergency and cost a packet. Do they think things through?

I admit I had hoped that seeing the mass bloodshed of the last two weeks, underpinned by mass deliberate disinformation effort via by a tightly held media would have made Boris realise the damage than misleading on an industrial scale can cause and distance himself from it.

A forlorn hope clearly.

Zahawi getting his arse handed to him, for trotting out the old 'world leading' chestnut, by Former Danish PM Helle Thorning-Schmidt. (Mrs. Steven Kinnock, for balance).

The Labour government put forward plans for a new nuclear power station (SIzewell C) in 2008. You can of course argue that these are not the way forward but if Johnson's argument is that the lack of nuclear power is down to Labour then, sadly, he's just lying again

At what point, I wonder, does "It's the fault of the last Labour Government" begin to lose its impact?

Because so far we're 12 years into Conservative rule and it shows no signs of letting up.

This was brilliant. He could not argue the lie he’d been told to broadcast so instead he said it “Should be a team effort”.

What a take-down!
