It's strange he has thrown in the the "can't remember" caveat, similar to when he said that he "didn't see the email".

It could be the small lies that kill him. Surprised no-one else (that I have seen) has picked up that he is going for the "best of my memory" line but keeps coming out with 25 minutes as the time he was there. A bit like people setting their alarm clocks to numbers ending in 5 or 0, who goes with 25 minutes when coming up with a rough time? 15 minutes or half an hour, surely? Why do get the feeling that there was a focus group at No10 deciding what the most palatable period of time to fess up to would be?

I think we are entering the End Game now, the denials and lies are coming so fast now that I think the Tory MP's are pretty close to the magic number required for his vote of no confidence. The narrative is becoming more negative for him every day, apart from the desperate ad hoc policy launches such as the TV licence fee and enlisting the RN to " control " immigration he is a busted flush as, every day/hour, he seems to be " forced " to deny another drip drip allegation of incompetence.

Always tell the truth as you can never remember a lie.

Couple more polls out, one of them showing a 13pt lead for Labour. Pressure must be building, not sure how its not blown up yet...

Operation Big Dong is working. Nothing to see here.

(I may have added a needless letter in there, but I decided to keep it for aesthetic reasons).

His epitaph will be:

"I repeat, I strenuously deny remembering ever breaking any rule, any, and I am completely emphatic about this. I think you'll find that Sue Grey will agree with me".

(And with that bombshell, I feel I need to post that gif of Sue White again)

If Johnson hasn’t resigned by now he never will. The big point so many people have forgotten is that he simply does not give a **** what any of us plebs think.

What is increasingly pathetic is how Boris sees every interview as an opportunity to get whatever is top of his agenda out there to the people, whilst flagrantly disregarding whatever question he is asked by his inquisitor.

In the recent past it has always been about the successful roll-out of the vaccine programme. Now it is his carefully-worded apology to the British people. He has a 'Boris' filter that takes a question and diverts it to his preferred topic or whatever he wants to talk about. I can't believe people were mugged off by it in the first place. He's lost the dressing room, he's lost the fans.

I’ve not seen this before but it’s by far the best take on the situation and won’t be beaten.

Bloody hell. I wasn't expecting tears of anger when I started watching that....

Time I went and watched some football. All the best.

I’m not sure a vote of no confidence would see him off either.

Will the Tories get enough to vote him out?

Tory meltdown incoming...

My great fear is that what follows Boris will be worse. Sunak is a Goldman Sachs implant, and as such has been parachuted in purely to ensure that we continue to believe that our salvation will come from all being as greedy as possible.

I’d expect to see even more professions reclassified as unskilled/low-skilled, the decline of the real spending power of employee wages, and the continued slow decline of working conditions for the benefit of the capital that profits from employee efforts.

Johnson’s one saving grace (to me at least) was that he didn’t seem entirely in the thrall of modern economic theory, which takes no account of how irrational people in power are prepared to be when it’s to their advantage to be irrational. The more cynical part of my mind wonders if the sudden leakiness of Number 10’s inner circle and the sudden convergence of multiple inflationary factors affecting our cost of living is a warning shot across Johnson’s bows.

The problems with socialism and capitalism are largely identical. They both rely on people making rational decisions in good faith.

EDIT: apologies for posting during the match, Chelsea scored and I was cross.

Sorry, if it's been posted before, but, just spot on:

I never thought I would see something like this when fiction and reality blur, marvellously put together, not sure if this was all put together and includes genuine lines recorded for the video by the actual actors ?

An audio version has been knocking around for a few weeks, done with the main actor.

This.. mmmmmm..

I don't like it because it fakes and re-uses real statements from the PM and loses all the power of the original.

Haven't we all got much more important things to worry about? For instance, Strictly Nadiya has dumped her fiance.

It's not as much fun as the Daily Fail headline today....the recent return of Dacre shows in its outraged front page today....it's like a Hitler Downfall rant generator this morning....they know their bloke is in DEEP trouble.
