Because I'm a Socialist, which is the same reason I'm not voting Labour this time.

Because I'm afraid as soon as they get in power they'll privatise the NHS. And that would be unforgivable.

Because they oppose punitive sentencing for prisoners

They beleive they those that are more well of should pay more towards those who are less well off

They want to work more with Europe (although some tories want to do that as well)

It would take many years to do that even if they wished to.

And by then they would be in a position to be kicked out.

Their single-mindedness to privatise everything, from health, transport, communications leaving a few people rich, and the services provided bare and forlorn. The selling off of publicly-owned housing. Their attitudes towards homosexuality, single parents, ethnic minorities, low pay, travellers, asylum seekers, Irish Republicans, trade unions, football supporters, public transport users... Their single-handed destruction of entire coal-mining and steel communities by brute force in the north of England. Their handling of the economy. Their insularity over Europe. Their outdated belief in the concept of the Union. (The Kingdom, not the workers).

For the unforgivable way they treated people they didn't like in the 1980's; their mis-management of the economy during the Thatcher and Major years; the poll tax; their attitude to Europe; their record on race relations, the hyprocrisy of "back to basics" etc etc. I'm not saying they didn't do anything right or would want to Britain to be like it was under Wilson or Callaghan. But the arrogance and sheer nastiness of the Conservative Party during the 1980's and early 1990's makes it impossible for me to vote for them.

By the way, it's Tories not Torries.

My electricity and gas are a lot cheaper now than they were before 1997. My price per unit of energy is 2p cheaper now than 8 years ago
I worked for Yorkshire Electricty Board so I can remember the old style.
The only thing that went wrong with that privatisation is the way people change their suppliers. Door to door selling is not the right way.
The rest is better now than it was.

I am not a Tory or a Socialist. I make my mind up before an election on the issues of the day.
I have voted for all three main parties in my lifetime. I liked Harold Wilson and Jim Callaghan but disliked Neil Kinnock greatly.

So is pumping shed loads of money into "managers" instead of Docters and Nurses! The NHS IS unforgivable as it stands!
