Whether you agree it or not I should imagine gun ownership generates a hell of of lot of money, you have the manufacturers, sellers and other services.

Hodgkinson certainly wasn’t shy about his political leanings online. He was a strong supporter of Sen. Bernie Sanders in the 2016 presidential election, according to posts on both of his Facebook pages.
For starters, the cover photo on his Facebook profile is a picture of Sanders, and his profile picture on the social media platform contains the phrase: “Democratic Socialism Explained in 3 Words: ‘We The People,'” with an American flag in the background.
Peoples attitudes when it comes to this shit is gross, killing people is not OK, regardless of your political beliefs.

Of course. It's terrible, whoever the victim is and whoever has committed the atrocity.
I think the only point that some people were making is that there is a certain irony involved when the very people who make it easy for such atrocities to be committed, (i.e. right wing politicians who promote liberal gun laws) themselves become victims precisely because some nutter can easily get hold of a gun. And then their mates and supporters, instead of recognising that the outcome would have been so much better if the perpetrator hadn't been able to get hold of a gun, start wittering on about how much worse it would have been if the security forces hadn't got guns to retaliate with.
There is such a bizarre mindset about guns in the US.
