All over the place
1. The Green Mile - The best film I've ever seen, really amazing story and fantastic acting, the only film that has ever made me cry, the ending with the big black giant makes you shed a tear, amazing, amazing film. Would recommend it to anyone to watch.

2. Forrest Gump - Very funny film, but sad too at times. Tom Hanks is awesome in it top film all round, haven't met anyone who disliked it yet!

3. Shawnshank Redemption - It had Morgan Freeman in it who is the coolest guy on the planet, nothing not to like about it really. Superb story too.

4. Cliffhanger -Full of tension and violence, Stalone was just wicked in it.

5. Saving Private Ryan - The story isn't amazing but the acting and fight scenes are awsome, really enjoyed it but yet very sad though, the start of the film was hard to watch.

Forrest Gump - Wasn't CMS in that film? RUN MACKA RUN !

Anyone see Five Days One Summer? It starred Sean Connery but you never hear about this 1982 film. It was a masterpiece.

So many good films . . . impossible to make a list of 5! Of those previously mentioned I agree with the following in no particular order:- Close Encounters of the Third Kind (Special Edition is awesome), Quadrophenia, The Godfather, Scarface, Carlito's Way, Black Hawk Down, The Good The Bad & The Ugly, Rise of the Foot Soldier, Aliens (far superior to the first film), Life of Brian, The Green Mile, Schindler's List, Catch Me If You Can.

I would also like to add the following: The Great Escape (so many great old actors in it), Dirty Harry, West World, We Were Soldiers, 28 Days Later. There's probably so many more that I can't even think of . . .

Close Encounters of the Third Kind is one of the most under rated films ever made. It truely is a work and gift from the Gods. It knocks Star Wars that came out 2 months earlier into a cocked hat imo. Still looks stunning 34 years later. I also agree Aliens is a far superior film to Alien.

Hard to be restricted to five though as E.T, Jaws, Rocky, Shawshank Redemption, Godfather II, Terminator would all b worthy.
